I said last week that I kept remembering Russell County's first round loss to Mercer County last season. The win on the road at Knox Central makes me think they are more capable of avoiding a playoff upset this year, but I'm still reserving judgment until I can see their postseason success. Russell County shouldn't have any trouble with Marion County in the first round, but I would expect Boyle County to provide them with a tussle, one I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers lose in.

You probably haven't seen Cov Cath play. I would say they are a clear #2. I haven't seen Ashland, JC or LC, so I can't really say where they rank compared to those teams. Should be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few weeks.

 

No, I haven't seen CCath, but, I doubt you've seen Russell Co either.. Point is, I said top 3-4 in the state and if you notice I didn't use Cov Cath when comparing teams. I would rank Cov Cath #2 and Russell Co #3 right now, but, at the same time, I don't think Cov Cath is CLEARLY better than Russell Co. Would most likely be a very competitive game if they played..

In reference to playing Boyle. They are not the same team now as they were earlier in the year. Their injured players

should all be back at full strength this week. You give them 2 more weeks together and no one will look forward

to playing them. They also had a very tough early schedule.
