Obviously the Simms girl from Conner and Smith from Notre Dame will be two of the best pitchers in NK for 2013. Who else will be pitchers that will make a difference this coming season? Butts from St. Henry, Thacker from Walton.....Others?

My daughter, of course! LOL Just kidding. She has been working hard in the off season (besides getting hurt) and we have high hopes for her and the Camels this season! Can't wait to get the season started:) We are excited to attend our first Kent State camp in a few months...wish we had the time to attend more.

Isn't the pitcher from Ryle back? The one besides Smith. Sorry, don't know her name.

The two young names coming up are Spencer (Fr. at Dixie) and Hoeh (So at Newport)

Several names for here..shouldn't Knotts and Johnson be good for Boone? Hoeh for Newport is good, as is NCC's pitcher. Smith and Stewart for Notre Dame. Rengering for Beechwood. Spencer for Dixie. Butts for St. Henry. Conner's Smith, Ryle's pitcher is very good. I think Ludlow and Bellevue have decent pitchers too. And let's not leave out Brossart and Highlands. Overall I think many good pitchers, maybe not any great, great ones.

Ali Crupper - Ryle

Hayley Smith - Notre Dame

Hannah Thacker - Walton

Elizabeth Simms - Conner

Bailey Spencer - Dixie

Noelle Butts - St. Henry

Dallis Knotts - Boone County

Jenna Johnson - Boone County

Not a bad one in the bunch. :notworthy:

Very nice list. I would add the Conley girl from Bracken County and those would be my top tier pitchers in NKY IMO.

How often does a team pitch 3 different pitchers in fastpitch?

Good question. I agree that the Jones girl is a nice young pitcher, however, I would assume the Smith girl will do most, if not all of the pitching unless they are in a tournament or playing a weaker opponent. Just my opinion. Why would they have anyone else on the mound? Smith has the experience and is a proven pitcher, and additionally she is a really great hitter.

Hayley Smith and Dallis Knotts play together on the Doom96 team now along with my DD, and I can personally attest for them....Hayley came in as somewhat of a known quantity, and is playing up to expectations, for sure....Dallis literally had a hospital bracelet on at tryouts (!), but showed something she is full of which is grit, and has proven herself so far this fall through practices and games moving up in the rotation....both of these young ladies have shown that they aren't averse to working hard, and along with our other KY girl, make up a very solid three pitcher rotation......all three showed their stuff down at Lindsey Wilson College this past Sunday, and really did a great job!! I look forward to keeping up with Dallis and Hayley through their spring seasons.

Good luck to the Doom 96 team. Sam boy is a good guy and you guys should do well. I am guessing the other pitcher from Ky resides in Louisville? If so I believe we (meaing dad's) have sat around a couple times in hotel parking lots with some adult beverages!! Hope all is well good luck!

I don't know the young girl mentioned. She may be outstanding. However, there is also the Stewart girl who is pretty good. I would expect her to get the #2 slot. Maybe I'm wrong. It would be a nice luxury to have 3 good varsity pitchers.
