October 4, 201213 yr This could take some thought for some of us. I'd like to hear what 5 books you think are so important that literally everyone should have a copy of each of them on their shelf at home. TRY TO KEEP IT JUST TO FIVE BOOKS. Some folks will have a hard time narrowing down to that few, and others may struggle coming up with that many. Let's hear what you've got.
October 4, 201213 yr Author In memory of our good friend Alabama Larry, I’d like to guess that his response to this thread would have been something like this: "If you ask me, the Bible is the only book anyone ever really needs to have on their shelf. But between Momma and me, I think we could come up with five copies at the house." All the same, let’s prohibit use of the Bible on people’s lists. I think we all know how significant it is in the world.

Scott Fitzgerald Complete Works of William Shakespeare The Trojan Saga - Homer The Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien * That was not easy and I could seriously edit it 10 times and still not be happy with the five. The only ones that will be on every list are the first two.
