So what does everyone who wanted him playing say now if he is lost for 4 weeks with an ankle injury? Take off his redshirt so he can play one quarter then basically lose him for the remainder of the season.

 

I don't know NCAA rules very well...can they put the redshirt back on him since he got injured so quickly?

All goes back to terrible decision on taking redshirt off midway through the season.....has never been positive for any quarterback in the conference....another bad decision for the leaving so-called coach at Ky.

And if he hadn't gotten hurt and lead the team to an upset of MS, you'd have been on here posting that Joker was right to pull the redshirt off of him, right? Somehow, I'm not convinced. I really can't believe that people are so fixated on Towles being able to play at UK in 2016. Cats don't have the luxury of worrying about 2016. They are trying to win games now, and they should. Every kid on that team, particularly the seniors, wants to win as many games as possible this year. I almost puke every time I read that "this season is lost, so why play Towles?" In my opinion, that's a losing mentality. I don't care what UK's record has been so far. I want to win the next game badly and I'd be flat out (rule violation) if I felt that the coaches weren't doing everything in their powers and abilities to win it. And that would include keeping a redshirt on Towles so he'd be available to play in 2016.
