Highlands vs CovCath (Frosh) Predictions

Featured Replies

Who wins and why?

Highlands is coming off a 55-21 win over Campbell County. CovCath is coming off a 27-27 tie with Cooper.

If CCH doen't fix their cornerback problem it could be a long evening for the colonels

Don't know much about CovCath. Anybody know about their tendencies?

They're a pretty good team should really be 4 & 1 not 2 2 &1. Lost focus in the second half against campbell with 5 turnovers and completely overlooked cooper playing to a tie. They mix the run and pass well on offense and stop the run pretty good on D. They struggle at the corners defending the pass. Trying to play as many kids as possible has its moments!

HHS 27 CovCath 14

HHS running game will be too much. Hergott, Daughtery, and Kendall give HHS too many options to stop.

CovCath's QB is very good. He seems accurate with his passes. He runs hard with good speed. HHS can't let him outside on the scramble. CovCath's D-line seems bigger and stronger than most teams. The line matchup should be a good one.

What kind of size does Highlands have on the offensive and defensive lines?

Size does not matter. Highlands wins with precision and SPEED. Until the rest figure that out, they all will be playing for second.

But if you have size with speed, it is even better. I know Highlands has won with mostly speed in the past, but size doesn't hurt.

Highlands O-line and D-line have a good mix of speed and size. O-line: Hebel is 6'2" 260+, Robinson 5'11 225, Richardson 5'11" 215, Jager 5'9" 170, and Haas 6'3 200+.

D-line: Robinson, Hebel, and Lichtenberg 6'0" 210.

That's what I mean, a combination of size and speed is better than just speed alone. Although Highlands has had many a line that won with speed alone.

Should be a good game.
