They're Vienna Beef dogs, they've come with mustard, chopped onion, a dill pickle spear, tomato wedges, celery salt, sweet pickle relish, and two little pickled chili peppers - I believe they call them sport peppers. Then you can start adding toppings on yourself. I believe New York style dogs are all about the sweet red onion relish they serve on them. Good, but they're nothing even close to a Chicago dog.

August 30, 201214 yr Author Can't say I have....Have been meaning to try the Senate though. Both of them are GREAT. Senate offers true gourmet hotdogs - which a lot of people would scoff at, but they ARE gourmet in every sense of the word. Mr. Gene's is over on Beekman Street in South Cumminsville - they're just a walk-up restaurant. They've got some picnic tables outside, but otherwise it's just a takeout kind of place. They have all your basic dogs and toppings, just done up right. I generally get the Doberman (thusly named because it's the dog that bites back) - hot mett, chili, onions, and cheese.
