Owsley at Lee County 1/10 Predictions

What happened to the thumb. Does it affect the shooting at all?

It's not on his shooting hand, it's his right hand thumb. He hyperextended it in the Leslie County game. He will probably have to give it some time to heal. How long it will take is anyone's guess. He goes back to the doctor tomorrow for more test. It's sad to have this occur at about the same time Smith is schedued to return. I hope, and have a feeling, it won't be too serious. He's a tough, determined young man, it will be hard to keep him off the floor.

Well I wish him the best of luck at the doctor's office tomorrow and hope everything is okay. It's always sad to see anyone injured, but in this case, more so because of the situation in Owsley and because Mr. Neeley is an incredibly talented, well mannered young man. Best wishes to him at the doctor tomorrow.

So, will he not play for sure tomorrow. If not, uh oh for Owsely.

I'm not part of the coaching staff so I don't know if he will play or not. But I talked to him today and he said he had to see the doctor again tomorrow. I don't think he will be able to play. He had a removable cast on it today, and was still in some pain. But anyway, it would still be "uh oh" for the Owls at Lee Tuesday regardless (unless Tyson Gross was permitted to come back and play for the Owls).

IMO Lee County has the best team I've seen in Beattyville since 1984 when Emery Crawford, Dean Noe, Jeff Ginnan, and Mike Newman roamed the floor.

I'm going to say Lee will take this one by 20+

Sorry Prof, didn't mean to upset you. I really hope its all right, his thumb and all. I'm sure if things get really ugly tomorrow night, Coach Wright will call off the dogs. But, I really hope Owsley is able to be competiive. More fun to watch that way.IMO

You didn't upset me. I understood what you were saying. it would be a tough task tomorrow night even with a healthy Daniel Neeley. Few teams would have an easy time with Lee in Beattyville this year...including Perry Central.

Its good that when our district has a legit chance at the region (Lee this year) that fans from other counties can rally behind them. Professor, in my opinion, you are a class act. Its clear that you bleed maroon, but you can also respect a team that has it together and is playing good ball as are the Bobcats.

I really like Daniel and tease him when I run into him about not beating up on his neighbors in Lee. Daniel is a class act and I truly hope him nothing but the best. Ronnie you are correct about one thing for sure the Professor is a class act.
