August 23, 201214 yr I like the idea of bringing him up when the rosters expand but he's not ready to hit at this level. He is only hitting .288 in AA so far in limited action. What do you think that would equate to in the majors? I know you can't compare the two and come up with a sure cut number until it happens but if say that equated to .230 would he be more valuable than Stubbs given what he might bring as a leadoff hitter to the team? Just asking and not looking for a debate as I have mixed feelings on whether he is ready at this level.
August 23, 201214 yr I expect Walt to be busy over the winter. I'll be shocked if Stubbs is a Red next year. So are you insinuating that Hamilton could be the centerfielder on this team out of spring training? If so they better start getting him ready for the outfield given he hasn't played any yet.
August 23, 201214 yr Author They gave Billy a much deserved day off last night. He still comes in the game and gets pinch hit RBI single and promptly steals 2nd...His season totals are staggering : 122 games .319 avg / .418 obp / .435 slg 105 runs, 21 2B, 14 3B, 2 HR, 45 RBI's, 80 Walks, 101 K's, 148 steals His numbers through 40 games in AA are basically identical to his stats at High A Bakersfield. He has actually cut his strikeout rate down. last 10 games .433/.538/.600 12 steals Edited August 23, 201214 yr by Shutitdown

That's nearly impossible to say but if I had to make a guess I would say he could hit .240-.250 due to that fact that he doesn't strikeout much. He can't play CF and is a liability at SS so I don't think he's more valuable than Stubbs at this point.
