Dixie at Franklin County (Scrimmage)

Featured Replies

Thoughts on Fridays game at Franklin County. Both teams seem to be young and building. Who will shine and how much will we see?

I'd measure Dixie's performance in qualify of play from young individual players vs a final score.

I'm curious to see how the sophomores play. I think they're starting the Moore kid at QB. Can be a good qb some day.

Franklin County is not young and building. They are one of the favorites to win the 5A state title.

They have the most exciting high school football player I have ever seen in Mr. Timmons. Also, a D1 qb to sling the ball around.

Even if they are technically young (no clue) those two make up for it.

They are young on the lines and defense is what I was told. AS far as the 5a favorite must be a tough year for 5a, this team with that talent only won one play off game last year, and got trounced by Conner???

I do believe Moore will start at qb. Was surprised to find out that Dixie only has about 15 seniors with only half of them in starting roles. As for Franklin, the line is what i was told was young/ building. Sorry for not being clear. Interested in size of O and D lines. What I've seen from Dixie is good so far.

Dixie had a very strong freshman team last year. Anybody know how many of this kids will see substantial varsity time this year?

I don't remember names but I think it will include the QB, the fullback, and the lineman from last year's frosh team.

There are four sophomores starting with probably four or five getting good time. Owens(RB) Harrison (DB) Moore(QB) and Johnson (DT)

Good luck Red Colonels. Get some good work in, and no injuries.

Ben Owens gets bigger and bigger every time I see him. I think he's going to be a stud.

That is not an ideal situation for big school football. But you do what you've got to do.
