I think it's also worth noting, that Dixie Heights went 3-7 during the regular season, but Zeke Pike still managed to throw for almost 2000 yards in route to a full scholarship to Auburn... That number made him the number 2 6A passer in the state... I guess Auburn doesn't think that 3-7 is the only number that matters...

Good research....It was good to see all the teams and how they compared, especially including all the classes.

Tates Creek was beaten 34-14 by GRC and GRC was 0-3 FOR ZERO yards. Zero passing yards? I was badly mistaken. That Commodore pass defense is so intimidating nobody attempts to pass against it. I don't know what is worse. Getting beat 3 TD's by a team (a 3-8 team I might add) that threw for zero yards on 3 attempts. Or if you are GRC and attempt only 3 passes and completes none of them. In defense of GRC, they did win the game by 3TD's.

 

Nothing like 6A football in Lexington/Central Ky.

I don't know if you actually read it or not but you said the state and that is the state. Creek plays football in Kentucky. I also think you missed Lafayette who is 6A and is ahead of Creek. Awesome. :sssh:

So did Bowling Green win the state. How about Trinity. How could they both win state? Hmmmmm. Because there are 6 STATE winners.....right?

And fair enough to the poster who noted the loss to GRC. But what you didn't note was that the 2 aforementioned players RJ Taylor and Dennis Oxendine were out a half of that game. But I digress.....you are right. Players can't have an excellent season even on a losing team......I guess no person should be proud of their team or accomplishments of they arent TRINITY.......

My last post on this topic. I assume everyone here will be here towards the end of the season as you will get to evaluate this Tates Creek group and it's results. I assume being 1 of if not the top ranked pass defense once again in 6A will be worth noting. I'll make sure that they have at least 6-7 wins before we are allowed to bring them up however.

CoachJ (first off Congrats on the win)....Any thought s on Tates Creek corner back #19 RJ Taylor? Getting a lot of looks from Big schools......i.e. (O State, Michigan, etc....)

 

Sorry not to have responded before this got all controversial (have been away at FB camp for last week), but the kid with the dreads (not sure the #) had a good game against us. I wish we'd had our top receiver (Cam Lewis) there to get work against him -- he was away that day at an AAU bball tourney. Cam's about 6'3 and physical & I'd like to have seen how he did against a top DB.

By the way, TC was VERY well-coached in their system and looks like they have some weapons. We were down by more than one score at the half and had to make a major adjustment to start stopping their offense.

And on the rest being controversial, it really wasnt. Just a couple folks trying to damper enthusiasm for a rebuilding program. But thank you very much for your reply. Would have been good to see your WR and RJ go head to head. RJ was invited and participated at Ohio State Camp this summer and was very impressive as they have asked for him to officially visit during the season. Dennis Oxendine is also a good looking prospect. Thanks again for any info anmd good luck to you guys during the season.

Thanks Coach. Heard good things about your bunch as well. Tates Creek was very young last year and took some lumps but this season should have different results as those kids are now the leaders and have good experience.
