10th Region Predictions

Featured Replies

I would think Montgomery County is the top dog (again). Not sure what all the other teams have, but I look for GRC, Brossart, Campbell, Bracken & Mason to compete for the other top spots. Perhaps Harrison County too, with Doram dominating the paint the way she does. I don't know what Bourbon County has returning, but they impressed me last season.

Welcome to BGP ColonelPride! :thumb:

Same as boys, what do some of ya think.

Just like the boys team, Brossart will be tough to beat this year. They have a very nice team returning and a very strong junior class. They had no seniors last year. IMO Montgomery County and Brossart will be the top two teams in the 10th.

Thoughts on Bourbon County? I know they return everyone plus a impressive 8th grade class led by Anovia Byars, and Chanadie Machal, and Jessica Garza. The star is Asia Sims, the daughter of Alvin Sims who played in college at Louisville. The Colonels will also add Paris transfer Jazmen Chenault this season. Olivia Sparks is a three point shooter who returns as well and Kylie Hilander adds a extra physical dimension to this team.

^ They were very aggressive when I saw them last year. Seemed very well coached.

We shouldnt forget the girls from Pendleton County. They beat Brossart, Bourbon, Mason and Harrison last year and return their top 6.

They definitely have the talent. Consistency has always been one of the things I felt Pendleton lacked.

That is what I have heard as well. They can beat a browser one night and lose to conner ( no offense Conner fans) the next night.

I meant to say Brossart in my last post. Not to good at the iPhone thing.

Brossart. They are set to go on a nice little run for the next 3-4 years. Still can't compete with the big schools or traditional powers, and schedule still soft, but in the 10th, they would have to be the favorite.

Agree. They have some very nice talent coming through and if they would really strengthen their schedule it would help them in the long run come tournament time.

I like Brossart this year. Young but they have a lot of talent and a coach who will get them ready to play.

Seems like last season nobody gave Deming a chance to get past the 38th District Tournament and lo and behold they won the 38th District Championship. However this seaon is going to be different then last, not for sure who is returning this season. Heard alot of speculations and rumors but I tend to wait to see what happens. In my view or at least I think will happen is Lacy Mitchell, and the Smithers girl, who came on strong in the district tournamnet, should be back. After that it's up in the air.

Where is the girls regional tourney being played this year?
