Does anybody know exactly when Marty stated he would shave his head if the Reds won 10 in a row?

Does anybody know exactly when Marty stated he would shave his head if the Reds won 10 in a row?

Cincinnati Reds

During the back-and-forth banter on the team plane with bench coach Chris Speier, Marty Brennaman said he would shave if the Reds won 10 in row.

This happened a couple of weeks ago. The Reds have won nine in a row going into today. Speier and other witnesses reminded Brennaman of the promise when he arrived this morning.

“I’m a man of my word,” Brennaman said. “I’ll do it.”

“Our broadcaster is going to rooting against us today,” Speier said.

“No, I ain’t,” Brennaman said. “I might like it.”

Brennaman said he’ll lose his famous poofy hair Friday in the Reds clubhouse. Homer Bailey has volunteered to man the clippers.

The Astros bullpen has started their 9th inning implosion. Two straight hits to start the inning, a wild pitch, and then the pitcher does t cover 1st on a grounder to 1st. It's 9-4, runners on 1st and 3rd, and nobody out.

Brad Mills makes a pitching change with 2 outs. Xavier Lopez had gotten 2 straight outs. Mills can't have that.

Now the game is over. Astros win 9-5. I take full credit for the Astros win.

Marty just said on Radio that if the Reds win today, he will indeed shave his head!
