June 15, 201214 yr I have never started a Reds Series thread. Hoping there is not a BGP rule or regulation that imposes a penalty if the Reds are swept (something onerous like having to have a Bluebird in my avatar :scared:). Time for a quality start from Bronson. Dusty will no doubt make use of the trip to NYC to shoot over to Bergdorf Goodman and pick up a father's day gift for next week's visit with his good friend Derek Lowe.

June 15, 201214 yr Was waiting for ekubum to start the thread, he started the Indians thread resulting in a sweep...He had the good karma on his side...If the Reds get swept this series it's not on you Flotsam it's on ekubum for not coming through ... I'm interested to see who comes up for this series, I'm assuming it will be at least one guy to replace either Stubbs or Heisey but probably Heisey...Word yesterday was that good ol Willie Harris was pulled form last nights Louisville game and it wasn't due to injury, Gathright was also out of the lineup from the start...If neither one of Stubbs and Heisey can go I am fine with bringing up a guy, hopefully Gathright I'm done with the Harris experiment...However Harris was on the 40 man and the Reds seem scared to make any adjustments to that, although all they would have to do is DFA Costanzo... If they do anyting I think it would make more sense to DL Stubbs because I believe he can go on the DL Retroactive to the first day he missed and only be out for a few more games rather than putting Heisey on the shelf for 15 days... Without a healthy Stubbs or Heisey I think I would go with this for tonight: LF Frazier, CF Negron, RF Bruce with 3B going to Cairo...

Stubbs was injured on 6/5 I believe so that makes today 10 days since he has been hurt so if they could DL him retroactive to when the injury occurred he could come off the DL on Wednesday...I think that's right :idunno:...If he is that close to returning it doesn't matter anyways they probably won't DL him...

Stubbs needs to be DL'd. He won't be available until Sunday which is day 12 since his injury, they may as well just DL him and allow him to get fully healthy.
