Highlands Head Coach Resigns

Featured Replies

Just got a text from a Highlands parent that Head Coach Jessica Donelan resigned due to the fact that she is pregnant. She did a great job in moving the program forward and will leave with nice group of young talent coming up.

Congrats Jess and Jake on the soon to be "new edition".:dancingpa

Maybe Holy Cross's coach will apply!!

Good coach. Her Husband and Dad assisted too. I thought all were quality individuals and brought the Bluebirds program up...

Can't wait to see who they hire, will they be like other schools and just give it to someone or will they try and give it to someone with some type of fastpitch experience.

Heard there is a meeting today with AD and coaches to see how to move forward. Best of luck.

I thought we were not going to hear from you for another 5 years?????? Keep us updated on this situation, as well as, Brooke's progress in the college ranks.

This can be a good thing for Highlands softball. The previous coach did a solid job , not great, and the program can get better with a new coach.

No.

I'll stand by my contention.

She did a fine job. Now they need someone to raise the bar.

I think her Dad will get the job.

I have no idea about her but I would say according to most your posts this season the team underachived.

Team this yr was very young and started to play much better at end of yr. I would not be surprised if her dad did not get the job. I do think the program will continue to grow. Just like ND this yr they were very young last yr got a yr older and the new coach got all the credit for the improved play. May have a little to do with it but the bottom line is they got a yr older and more playing time together. You will see the same thing next yr for the birds.
