Didn't he have surgery this year?

Yes but the reports are he is recovering well...He was a stud and is still only 17 with a grown man's body that is built for the show

The Reds should have a great pool too pick from...

Dahl and Russell are both committed to Auburn.

Hopefullyy Giolito falls to the Reds

Agreed the kid is a freak show and it's looking like he may be there...Apparently Marrero is going to go before the Reds...Giolito should be able to be signed for cheap too due to injury concerns.

Dahl is an outfielder from Birmingham. Anyone tell me the HOFer outfielder from Birmingham?
I actually went to the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in February when I ran the Mercedes-Benz. I KNOW Hammerin' Hank is from Alabama but can't remember if it was Birmingham.

One more pick and then the Reds will get too pick from Giolito and Hawkins who both were not supposed to be there...There should also be some very highly ranked guys available in there supplemental spots that might slide...

Bud's hugs are much shorter than Goodell's.

Hank is from the Mobile area. Willie Mays is from Westfield which is a suburb of Birmingham.

White Sox are rumored to go with Stratton...Leaving everyone the Reds thought would be available still there along with a few others that weren't supposed to be...If the Reds take Marrero over Giolito or Hawkins I will be really upset...

Giolito is rumored to just have a sprained elbow that wasn't worth risking pitching with this year in his Senior season of High School...I have heard it shouldn't require any surgery and he touches 100 on the gun at times...

Now I'm hearing the Sox will take Hawkins...That will stink if true he has huge upside...

Apparently the Reds will take Stratton who has a very good resume but is a bit of a safe pick and a reach imo...

White Sox take Hawkins...

Height: 6'2", Weight: 2010

The Texas high school product was shooting up draft boards as the 2012 spring season began, thanks to a very successful summer.

While he pitches and will touch 90 mph, his future is in the outfield. He has some swing-and-miss to his game, but he does have power. He has shown the ability to hit any fastball and can show pop to all fields, though he needs to improve his approach at the plate, where his over-aggressiveness leads to those misses.

An average to a tick-above-average runner, he’ll play center field for his high school team, but with his size, strength, power profile and at-least-average arm, the University of Texas commit profiles best as a corner outfielder in the future.

Reds selecting in minutes at #14...Nick Travieso, Travieso is a reach from HS with potential but is now rumored to go to the Reds...
