One of these days the LB's are gonna experience a 10th region championship game and a trip to state, I keep telling myself. The way this tournament was playing out was idea for the taking more than any recent year can remember. Everyone is back a year older, great bunch, well coached and well supported, it''ll happen. Congrats to the

Good luck to Barry & Tony in the finals tomorrow night with their respected teams. Both are class coach's and both have had a geat year. Cant wait to see the game tomorrow night. Also a shout out to all the 10th region teams this year for another great regional tournament as always !! The 10th region will be tighter than ever in the upcoming years with most of the teams being young !

Was anyone close to the field on the play where Conley drills the ball to the 3rd baseman and the umpire called it a foul ball? That ball was going into left field then all of a sudden the ball spins foul and they call it a foul ball. From where I was it looked like the ball touched the 3rd baseman's right foot. Bourbon's coach said no way, it was never touched and the Bracken coach raises a stink about the play which I think he had plenty to gripe about.

I was told it was pretty obvious the Bourbon County player touched the ball before it went foul.

We were all sitting right along the 3rd baseline and without question, the 3rd baseman kicked it....if not the ball must have been possessed by a demon to end up going the other way and hitting off the backstop. That was the worst call I've seen all season long. HOLY COW! And they have a conference about it and I assume the other two were not watching the game and must've missed it too. That stupid call had our entire cheering section fired up the rest of the night. Heck, even Bourbon fans were commenting how bad the call was.

 

Not that we would've won the game, but we had some momentum going at that point...that was an easy 2 runs right there and then runners on 2nd and 3rd most likely with 2 outs. Terrible. Terribly pathetic call.

Really wanted to see a 39th district team in the finals or an all 39th finals but neither one of us could get it done. It was new territory for Mason but old hat for Bracken to be playing that far into the region. Congrats to the Lady Bears on another fine season.
