I like Obama. No I love Obama. I always have. I am a democrat. He plays the game good. I think he's had a successful presidency considering the circumstances of having congress leaders declare he'll be a one term POTUS the night he won the election in 2008. Has any president ever faced as much opposition and lack of cooperation from congress than Obama has? I admire him and his ability to keep his cool when everything about him is doubted. I like universal healthcare. I like that he was able to send in a team of Navy Seals that were able to kill OBL or UBL, whichever you prefer. I like that he's cool. I like that he is a tremendous role model for my sons. I like that he supports same sex marriage. I don't like his war on marijuana. I like that he supports Unions(I am the Union president of my local union). I like that he is the most successful black man I have ever seen and that he is respectable despite whether or not people agree with his policies. Most importantly I love the Obama/Luther skits from Key and Peele and I need those in my life for four more years.

It may be impossible to breakdown, but would you say you're voting to re-elect President Obama moreso due to personal (i.e. keeps his cool, role model for your children, etc.) or for his political views/agenda?

I always tell people how I really feel. :lol:

 

More personal but his political views/agenda do play a role in my decision. I am clueless when it comes to the economy and taxes and how they affect me. I know I'll be paying taxes regardless so what they do with the money is of little concern to me since I don't fully grasp how it works anyways. It's money I can't have anymore so screw it. Do what you gotta do DC. Can't miss what you don't have right? Jobs are booming at my factory so things seem good here where I am at. In 2004 I voted for Bush because Kerry seemed like a mope. I also felt like Bush deserved 4 more years to finish the job. Other than that I have always voted for the Democrat's nominee for POTUS and most likely always will. Unless they stick a mope out there again. :lol:

Would like to politely point out that Democrats controlled both Congress and the Senate for his first two years. He could have passed almost anything he wanted if he wanted it bad enough.

GHW Bush went against Democrat Senate and Congress all 4 years

Clinton had two years where Dems controlled both houses then 6 years where GOP controlled both

Nixon went against Democrats controlling Both houses his entire Presidency

Carter, Kennedy and Johnson had Dems in controll their entire terms

Reagan had Senate Republicans in control for his first 6 years but the House of Reps was Democrat all 8 years of his Presidency

 

So to answer an earlier question most presidents have faced at least as much opposition if not more that President Obama has.

I'd say George W. Bush is a very close second.
