Mowing of the field here was done mostly by David and his family. What are these "stadium repairs" you speak of? How do you receive these?

I keep hearing the name of Coach Duncum, but from nobody who could confirm it or is around the Lynn Camp program.

 

As far as field repairs and mowing; For years Bob Rose mowed at Williamsburg and for years the coaches at Whitley mowed. This did not change until an investment was made in the program. In Baseball most coaches do not trust grounds crews, they want to do it themselves to make sure it is done correctly, but then again most baseball coaches are grounds keepers deep down inside to begin with. I assume this will not change at LC with the new coach, so it is just something he will need to deal with until he can get it changed. I am not surprised that David Mitchell mowed the field, but I would have bet it was by choice, not something he had to do, so I am a bit shocked by that, I would however be surprised if he was not getting a stipend for it. Garman when he was at Corbin received a stipend for mowing and he was a coach.

 

It may be time to put the past.....well there, in the past. If I were a Lynn Camp Football supporter I think I would be more concerned with who IS going to be coach and start getting things in line for the new coach and helping get things going in the right direction. It is easier to effect change from the inside than on the outside where you are labeled an outside agitator.

I've heard interviews have started but I can't confirm that. Like everyone else I'm hearing Duncan and also a coach from out of state are the more notable names. Again, unconfirmed.

We were talking about the baseball field but I would imagine the same applies for football. I was referring to responsibilites. Maintenance staff is supposed to take care of repairs. Basic field upkeep by the coaching staff. I think the grounds people do the mowing on the baseball field.

This is also my understanding although I think it was to mow the field instead of fix it.

If anything was done to the field it was Dave, family or friends. Fix, try to repair, paint or mow.

Shocking, I thought Duncum was the guy.

Phillip is a personable guy, hopefully that will help him in pulling the Lynn Camp players and fans together. It's not going to be easy, but I hope he proves to be the right choice for the job.
