Can't agree, no way I would do that to the kids at Weber St., and especially the ones who just signed to come. He should have built up enough of a financial portfolio over the years to be secure, but I guess greed and ego do motivate many people. Is he not a alumni of Weber St. as well?
April 26, 201214 yr It stinks for the kids at Weber state but I don't know a single person I know in their right mind that would want to coach at Weber St when you have a chacne to take over an SEC team that is LOADED as in top 5-10 preseason loaded next year! I think it's a good hire. He'll let the coaches coach and he will run the show. Easy to get rid of him for Ark and get a bigger coach at the end of the season.

You say that because you don't have that opportunity.....keep in mind he has existing relationships at Arkansas....it's might be his last opportunity at a National Title.... I was offered the opportunity to move up from coaching in the flag football league to the next level, the tackle league, but I was able to curtail my ambition to move up the coaching ladder and return to my team for another season. This has to be close to the same situation as Smith was facing...:lol: I know that I shouldn't feel this way, but I hope Arkansas does a lot worse than expected this coming season and I will be shocked if they win the SEC West, let alone the National Championship.
