April 25, 201214 yr By the way...19,051 fans in attendance last night. Not sure if that counts the dogs or not, but its a little higer than I thought. Tops the Tuesday night game against the Cardinals last homestand. Not bad but attendance won't be up till it is warmer and school is out. It was pretty cold last night.
April 25, 201214 yr No surprise Latos had a good game when switching to him. Do you feel that was the main reason for his turnaround last night?
April 25, 201214 yr Do you feel that was the main reason for his turnaround last night? Probably not the main reason but I think it's a factor. Latos has always been a slow starter so he might be coming around plus he has pretty good number VS the Giants. With that being said who does Meso get to catch now? Bailey?

With that being said who does Meso get to catch now? Bailey? Well I think that's part of misleading stats. What pitchers have Hanigan and Meso been catching? Obviously catching Cueto and Arroyo has helped Hanigan's numbers tremendously. Have they pitched well because Hanigan is their catcher? Would those two not have fared as well if Meso had been catching them?

Have they pitched well because Hanigan is their catcher? Would those two not have fared as well if Meso had been catching them? I'd say with Cueto it's not a huge deal but Arroyo showed it does matter when it was Hanigan or Hernandez. His numbers were better with Hanigan. Maybe he just calls a better game or maybe it's just misleading given the guys each are catching and the small sample size.
April 25, 201214 yr Lance McAlister @LanceMcAlister Reds had 19,051 last night. Last year averaged 12,407 in two Tuesday April home games and 13,995 in 5 April/May Tuesday games

April 25, 201214 yr Stubbs 8 Valdez 6 Votto 3 Phillips 4 Bruce 9 Rolen 6 Ludwick 7 Hanigan 2 Arroyo 1 Color me confused....Why not put Valdez in the leadoff spot? Why would you move Stubbs with the way he's been hitting in the 2 hole?
April 25, 201214 yr ^ Yeah I don't get that. Why does Cozart need a day off? I guess he wore himself out playing one day in a row...
April 25, 201214 yr Valdez bats .300 vs Zito that makes perfect sense. He hasn't had an at bat against him since 2007.
April 25, 201214 yr Jim Day @JimDayTV Dusty on Cozart: Younger guys don't have as much success vs soft throwers. And I play everybody, Valdez hits .300 vs Zito, Stubbs .500
The Reds had won 4 of 5, and Stubbs has been hitting very well. If that continued, Reds fans might expect too much.
