First, I never said anything about lightning not being a dangerous situation. If you are going to be trivial then lets be trivial. Drinking and driving is a dangerous situation. Being an alcoholic is dangerous situation. Being a drug user and abuser is a dangerous situation so do you want to sound a siren for those?

Sometimes people argue just to be arguing. That has to be the case here.

One thing I forgot to put in. Warnings are issued sometimes because doppler radar indicates hail and high winds are possible. These radars can estimate the size and severity of the hail. Also the winds. It is the same principal used for tornadoes. Warning will be issued because radar indicates that there might be one.

 

Oh wait we aren't supposed to have warning issued unless someone sees them. All I can say if you wait until then it might well be too late.

If there's even a chance of a dangerous storm that puts my 3 children in harms way...the siren can go off whenever it wants. Clearly you miss the point of a warning system.

I appreciate your concern, and I've heard of this ignore feature. I have chose not to use it.

 

Did nWo say just hail? Or we're there specifics to the size of the hail? And I don't know of sirens went off, I do not live in Louisville.

I wasn't going to come back until I saw you deliberately leaving out an important part of my post. You really need to go back an reread it. Yes I said hail but the difference is the size of the hail that makes the sirens sound. If the size of the hail is not 3/4 of an inch or larger then the warning sirens won't be sounded. You are deliberately twisting what everyone says. This is further proof you don't know what you are talking about and are just looking to start an argument.

 

The sirens probably didn't sound because they are afraid to bother you.
