Marion County 56 Walton-Verona 49

Walton fought all year to gain respectablility in the rankings, in the end they let their basketball play do the talking. Congrats to this fine group of players, excellent coaches and very dedicated fan base. Good to see you shine and I look forward to bigger and better things in the future.

Very true. Was told by a Scott County fan that Walton wouldn't fair well against them if the two teams played, and (implied) that since Scott County got beat by nearly 40 to Marion County, that Walton didn't stand a snowball's chance at state. Guess that's why they play the games, huh?!?

That's why they play them but a loss is a loss.

Since Campbell beat Scott County and Walton pounded Campbell by 40+, I don't think that fan knew what he was talking about.
