Paris led 14-12 at the half and then increased their lead to 28-12 in the third before Ludlow, with no quit in them, battled back and closed the score to 28-26 at the 8:56 mark of the fourth quarter. Paris would then close the game by scoring 22 straight points, receiving a 70-yard TD run from senior back Jaiden Holman, who finished his night with a career-high 236 rushing yards; Junior Elijah Webb took a 65-yard pass to the house; Senior back Jakari Ransom closed their late big-play scoring on a 40-yard run. One thing to note: I was really impressed with the play of Ludlow's Dameyn Anness, Miles Garrett, Jackson Mays, Matthew Endel, Aiden SmithBaxley and Ethan Powell. Paris no doubt earned this win because Ludlow certainly made them work for it! And yes, the game was a lot closer than what the final score indicated. Paris just wore the Panthers down and it showed in the final quarter when the Hounds made their run after the Panthers came within two-points of them..

The clock ran the entire game ... Coach Rice got the chance to play his entire bench and several key starters never left the bench. Class act by the Greyhounds... kids that normally don't get the chance to play a lot of minutes, certainly played a lot tonight! Hats off to Fairview and their very shorthanded team for showing up and putting up a fight! They never quit! Some teams are just better!

Hazard at Paris Predictions/Updates

Frederick got hurt in Paris' preseason finale against Bracken County, which is the reason the freshman is starting. -
Greyhounds roll over the visiting Tigers 58-12 to move to 2-0 on the year in the Greyhound Hall of Fame Game, where 17 more former Paris athletes were inducted into the Hall of Fame prior to the start of the late, lighting delay, contest. A future Hall of Famer, senior back Jakari Ransom, the game's Most Outstanding Player, led the way with five touchdowns: 50-yard pick six, 54-yard rushing TD, (2) 5-yard rushing TDs and a 75-yard TD reception! Ransom finished with an unofficial 86 rushing yards and 105 reception yards. Junior playmaker Elijah Webb scored on a 73-yard kickoff return, a 17-yard pass, picked off a pass to set up another score, had 81 receiving yards. Up next for Coach Tyquan Rice's Hounds, the Hazard Bulldogs (1-1) will make their way to legendary Blanton Collier Stadium.
