  1. They at least upgraded it to Flagrant 1 after league review. But it was pretty malicious in intent. They have got to find a way for her team to actually have her back. Charles Oakley or Draymond Green could never let their superstar teammate go through this with no repercussions.
  2. I'll be honest, I know I saw the number, but in the time I've tried to find the source, I can't find it, and it's not in the official report. So I'll just take the L on that aspect, and withdraw the distance aspect.
  3. No, but sometime you have to look at the evidence and think critically. It’s each man’s word against the other. No witnesses back up the story that he was dragged. The smell test isn’t there that he was dragged - we do have video of him sprinting after the car after he was supposedly dragged 40 feet. He ran quite well for someone who supposedly just endured that type of trauma. No one in those videos reacted like they just saw someone get dragged like that. Not even other officers. At some point you have to look at the whole situation and say “That doesn’t add up.” Not to mention a demonstrated history of embellishing charges.
  4. Suffered a non-contact injury when making a feint towards third base after a lead off double in the first inning. Non-contact, while they didn't initially think it was going to be this severe, an MRI revealed a complete tear of the ACL. This is not the same knee he tore his ACL in three years ago. Meaning, he now has torn his ACL in both knees during his career, which naturally is quite concerning. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/I'd/40226101/atlanta-braves-ronald-acuna-jr-season-torn-acl This is the second major injury to the Braves this year, as they earlier lost Cy Young favorite Spencer Strider to an elbow injury back in April. Brutal for the Braves, a real downer for the game of baseball. My Braves have blessed me with some positive times in the last several years, but this year has been a tough watch so far.
  5. I'm not sure if they've argued that the dragging took place before that, but I do think it is reasonable to raise an eyebrow at the concept that he would have been dragged 40 feet before coming into view. That's an incredibly unaffected run for someone who would have been supposedly dragged. Romines is going to eat them alive.
  6. Considering there isn’t likely to be additional video, I’ve seen enough to conclude that most charitably, the report misrepresented the facts. But more accurately and bluntly, they lied.
  7. It was disappointing for them to fall apart and lose to Vandy today - dropped them to 3rd in SEC tourney.
  8. The only network TV series that my wife and I still watch are The Simpsons (most of the time just purely out of loyalty to how long we've watched), and Animal Control. We still watch Saturday Night Live, if that counts. Just doesn't seem to be much outside of the streaming services that are really worth it anymore.
  9. I look forward to following his progress at Nelson County! A lot of other factors obviously came into play at Warren Central once he departed, but the program has definitely not been the same since. Loved when he was here.
  10. We never actually bet, but every year we pick a horse to root for in my family. I’ve never won, and picked Sierra Leone for this one. I don’t think I could get closer without winning! That was an incredible race.
  11. Jason Frakes said he declined an invitation.
  12. Central won't return anyone that was starting by the end of the year. Top five scorers are all gone. Leading returning scorer is going to be Jarek Kirk (4.6 PPG). Sophomore Armani Byrd (2.9 PPG) will be counted on to take the next step. Dominique Anthony (2.0 PPG) saw an uptick in minutes at the end of the year. They'll also gain Kash Carter, another sophomore, at some point. I forget when he played last for East, but it'll be a calendar year past that point. Central has a lot of talent in the younger classes, but at moment, next year would be expected to be a gap year, in much the same way that 2021 was. The elephant in the room on that one is that who they have today may not be who they have to start the school year or by the time the season starts. This time last year, neither Drevin Bratton or Elijah Howard were at Central yet. So we'll see if anyone shows up. We've seen players gravitate to the region champs before.
  13. Saw another ranking, this from the Sporting Times: https://x.com/sportingtimes/status/1781325825960272202 I'm slightly more inclined to agree with that one.
  14. Familiarity breeds complacency.
