Tryston Ford named Danville Head Coach

Yeah I’m not sure. That’s just what I’ve heard about why they’re calling it this. I doubt they’ll even interview anyone else. -

Coach Ford will be the coach. They have to post the position for 30 days basically so they have to call it interim until then. It’s his job. And we are all glad to have him on board. -
Chris Evans is the new Coach at Model

Well deserved. He’s a great guy and knowledgeable coach! -
That is someone assuming because George works in the system and has a lot of basketball experience.

So that means expose everyone else to a contagious disease? The announcers commented multiple times that he wasn’t feeling good and was having to muster up energy by kneeling down, etc. It was stated above he played with the flu, not that he was getting over it but that he had it last night. Doctors take people off work and school when they have the flu, so that it doesn’t spread. I’m not blaming the kid, he’s just that- a kid who wanted to play on senior night. But his parents and coaches should not have let him if he still had the flu. -

Alcorn played with the flu?! So he was on the court exposing everyone else to the flu? Why wouldn’t Coach Jackson (or his parents) sit him out? They are already number one in the district, this game didn’t mean anything for seeding. Why risk his health or those around him? He was obviously sick the entire game, and the announcers talked about it the whole time. -

Danville won tonight. -
He just met with his players and let them know. Danville will be finding a new coach in the off-season. No surprise to anyone after this season.

It was due to a parent being on the field complaining about playing time in the huddle and her saying something to a player. That led to arguing between that player and her player and others. She should have never been down there. Still embarrassing but could have easily been avoided. -

That’s what I’ve heard as well. -
That’s definitely not true. He was in Lexington quarantined at a family member’s house.

Danville fires Clay Clevenger
AdmiralFan71 replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Football (High School)
Coach Clevenger will be greatly missed here, as will his assistants, his family, and any kids who leave as a result of this. He brought the program back to life. My son had a chance to play for him and I couldn’t be more grateful for him. The super, the AD, and the principal have made a terrible decision that I hope they regret greatly. If not now, they will at some point. They made this decision because he doesn’t sit idly by when they make decisions that affect his program and his players, he speaks out and takes up for his guys. They don’t like that. They fire anyone who speaks out as we’ve seen the last few years. He also started a freshman QB over another QB who has money/influence and whose father is a coach for another sport. That didn’t make some people happy. I’d say people also complained about that. But it was the right decision and he’s never cared about politics. He plays the best players period. Coach Clev was the best thing to happen to this program in a long time and the superintendent needs to go honestly. She is ruining everything great about Danville Schools. This is just the latest in a long line of bad decisions. -
