The drinking age was 18 when I was in high school... Vinson High School "WV", class of 1983. I went into the navy and found the age limit varied from state to state. I remember it going to 19 for awhile then 21.

Old enough to vote, old enough to fight for old glory, to young for a beer. I say they change the drinking age back to 18, and save jails for criminals.

I think Russell is 3A.

I enjoyed watching Quinton play youth leagues for Beverly Hills. He's a great kid and no doubt will be successful playing on the next level. I will make it a point to catch at least one Ashland game this year.

Freddie Ray is one of the best people I know. He always has a smile, a honest and positive role model. I do not know a better Christian. He loves God and sets the bar high. The kids love and respect him. He will run a college no huddle offense. I enjoyed watching him in college and also for the indoor semi-pro teams. He will bring stability to the recent choas. I'm no fan of what happened to Nate, but Freddie is a really good hire. I know many posters have opinions on Fairview, but Nate McPeek is a good man and coach. He deserves another oppurtunity as well....

I'm not currently aware Nate's career plans. He's first class and all that know him personally will tell you that. He was a former all American lineman that played at Marshall University (Huntington WV) and was poised to be a first round draft choice until a back injury derailed him. He was unaware of the Ashland kid not being eligible, and I 100% believe him. Nate is very trusting and takes the high ground. He lives his Christian beliefs, and now chooses to take the high ground unlike the many many many many many false allegations of the linch mob. I'm definitely not the official Fairview voice, not qualified at all really. I can only speak to my experiences and not others. I can say that many of the same linch mob who made false allegations about my family last year, are making some of the same accusations about others now. I guess that is what a message board is for, its just sad that some people unconnected might actually believe the fiction without knowing the facts. I was asked about my residence, I own several houses in WV and currently do not own any in Kentucky. I'm looking to buy a farm near Morehead in the next few months (Investment). The Westwood residence I lived at (Not Musick Owned) was an apartment. I did enter into negotiations with the owner, but major foundation issues exceeded my investment risk. I'm curious as to what is fact and fiction. Everyone has opinions and some might be right, I know some things to be false... I guess tomorrow will shed some light on the situation. I read many statements last year that my family was recruited to Fairview, that we lived in Mr. Musicks property, my bills and lawyer fees were paid by Fairview, and lots of other completely false claims. I was not a member of this site, and read these posts from many of the same people that are now making many of the same claims. In my case the claims were false. The players removed the helmet decal to place tape saying "67 brothers". They apparently are having a tough time and support the coach. I know Coach McPeek and have respect and admiration for him. I do not know the details, but know Nate is a good man.

JC wins by 4-5 TDs.

I went to Morehead and rooted for them, and they lost. I went to Ashland and rooted for Raceland, and they lost. I'm going to LC Friday and root for Fairview, I hope my bad luck stays home! I'm really excited to see how these two teams stack up. I will predict Fairview despite my bad luck, remember it took Fairview a few games last year to get rolling and the schedule was a friend. I see a really talented Fairview team and wonder if they are ready for a stiff challenge this early. We will find out Friday.

Morehead kept turning the ball over and missed way to many opportunities. Pikeville played with more emotion. Lets hope next week at Youngstown State they play better. Go Eagles

Ashland 20-14* I predict Baker scores 3 TDs. * I also predict Messer scores at least once and if he gets a pick 6 or special teams TD, I like Raceland to win (21-20).

I know Pikeville has Ex-Marshall starting QB, which was Mr. Florida, and a 4 star WR transfer from Tennessee. I hope the Eagles can contain those two. I watched Gramm beat a few teams in conference USA basically by himself. If the defensive line can get to him, we will be alright. Go Eagles!
