A 6-foot-8 forward from Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, Thiero is ranked No. 27 in ESPN's 2025 NBA draft rankings. He started 19 games this past season for Calipari at Kentucky, averaging 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21.3 minutes. Some of the sophomore's best contributions came in the Wildcats' toughest games, putting up 16 points and 13 rebounds against Kansas in the Champions Classic; 15 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks against Gonzaga; and 14 points and 8 rebounds in a win over Auburn.

Interesting that the job was still not posted today. Heard it was coming will new Dunbar AD and Ex Lafayette and West Jessamine coach Damen Kelley be interested in this.

Not sure if it is just Cal. I just saw that Thiero is ranked No. 27 in ESPN's 2025 NBA draft rankings. I was a little surprised he was that high, but I was surprised by how high they had Sheppard as well so who knows.

I wonder why he announced now it is a bit late in the pre-season but it is a big time job so that will should help get some to quality names.

Friday afternoon Pike County Central name Scott Grizzle as its next head coach as of Friday afternoon. Grizzle is a graduate of Raceland High School and his last job was as the running backs coach at UPike. Best of luck to coach Grizzle.

He was coach at Greenup Co. in the 16th region for 6 seasons from the 2012-13 season until the end of the 2017-18 season. I'm not sure where he has been after the 2018 season.
