  1. Concerning the roughing call, it was the right call according to the rules. I watched the tape. The Highlands kid pushed the punter down for no reason. While it wasn't your typical roughing play, the refs were correct in the call.
  2. If you are playing better backs, true, they can be harder to tackle. That is why you work on tackling every day. For bigger backs, you work on hitting low. It is one thing to "teach" good technique; another thing to work on it every day so you continue to improve. If you want to be a good tackling team, you work on tackling. If you want to be a good passing team, you work on throwing the ball, etc. IMO - too many teams teach tackling early, then never really spend much time on it during the season because of everything else going on. Many coaches are concerned about getting kids hurt in practice. But there are ways to work tackling and minimize the risk of injury at the same time.
  3. Just leave the parents out of it. You are only hurting the kid.
  4. Oh yea. I forgot. Interceptions are always the QB's fault.
  5. We all know there never has been and never will be a team like SK.
  6. Then by all means I am sure he never had the ball. Reading through your posts you seem pretty sure of yourself. Although I can't quite get a grasp on what you are trying to accomplish.
  7. According to coaches I talked to, the film clearly shows that the Dixie's receiver's knee was down when he caught the ball, then he got hit and the ball came out. So by rule, it should have been a completion, first down. No idea if they would have scored, but they missed the call.
  8. How do you know that? The clock wasn't working.... Colonel_red is right on this one.
  9. Just mean and uncalled for. This shows your character and what type of person you are.
