Unfortunately, that doesn't matter. Since it occurred after their 1st contact date (July 30 for Aug 11th student's first day) it counts as a scrimmage thus leaving them no more. This happened to Covington Catholic a few years back. Any more scrimmages this year would be illegal and result in penalties.
I'm surprised Bell High used their only allowable scrimmage so early. Since they play on August 21 (Week 0) they are only allowed 1. It will be difficult to go the next 3-4 weeks against each other with no more scrimmages. I'm sure the coach knows what he's doing though.
I've never eaten wings at Johnson's, Guyn's, or Cosby's, but that Hooters place doesn't serve a bad wing. BW 3's also serves up a pretty tasty one and has a pretty good variety of sauces. You all talk about playing 1, 2, or 3; I'd have to say Hooters is 1, BW 3's is 2, and either Zaxby's or Wing Zone would be 3.
I think that's because they actually play a schedule now that will make the kids better and advance the program rather than one that will guarantee the coach 25 wins.
Top Jr's that come to mind:
Stevie Joe Jackson, Jr.
Bill Tom Johnson, Jr.
Ricky Joe White, Jr.
Joe Bob Tussey, Jr.
Mike Auckenbals, Jr.
Jesse's boy -- not named Jr. but a pretty good player
Lexington Catholic used that offense, or a similar version in 2006 against Franklin County in the second round of the playoffs. Came back from a 28 point deficit at halftime to win in overtime.
If memory serves...I think the rule change might have something to do with reporting to the field. I think that there was a lengthy delay in the start of that game due to each team waiting for the other to take the field first. Just a guess.
