CC is very well coached and have 2 of the better girls in NKY in Clos and Schwarber. They play hard and smart. Impressed tonight with Schwarbers shot. She's really improved it. Clos had 2 girls in her grille all night (Jones/Gilliam). She still had 20. Alot of them came in the 4th. I thought SK actually played well. They are definitely better in an up and down style. When they can turn the heat up and create turnovers they can put points on the board in a hurry. Harney had a good night 4-8 from 3. Meier was a huge mismatch for CC and it showed with 25pts. I thought Jones played alot actually, first and second half. She was all over Clos. Like you said she didn't start but last game i saw she wasn't starting then either. And of course Niece got her usual 18 and 6. She's one of the stronger guards i've watched. She'll do good things at NKU. Buckner seems to be getting closer to being back to her old self. Good to see. They'll need her length. -

Both teams were loaded with talent. Would've been a fun game to watch if they played. Montini beat a great Pickerton team later yesterday. Mercer Co. played Hamilton tough it seems by the score. Hamilton Hts is 5th in nation. Montini is 12th in nation. Link to national top 25: MaxPreps Top 25 preseason high school girls basketball rankings - MaxPreps -

Jesse James, any other NKY girls you eyeing for a Premier or EYBL spot? -
8th Region Warrior, I know the exact speech you are speaking of. What you may not know is that that coach was talking about keeping that "all region player" in his program. She lived in the district and was thinking of going to another high school in another county to play with friends and Coach Stowers talked her into staying in the SK district. I feel there is a big difference in recruiting a player from another district/school system to come to your school and talking one into staying home and playing for your school. I've heard this story before and know that it wasn't what it seemed or sounded like.

Watchmen, you are absolutely correct! 1) Buckner is out.... for now. 2) SK didn't and couldn't play pressure D last year. They haven't for a couple years now because of Personnel. They also aren't that great of a 3 pt shooting team even though some think 30-33% makes one a great threat. Your great shooters are nearing 40% or better. And adding Harney does add a tremendous amount to this team. She's tenacious on D, she shoots the ball well and handles the ball real well. Should be interesting in how this team gels.

Agreed but do see several girls that are on it that have never been to his camp. Niece from SK is one I believe. A couple others as well.
