The Boyle Freshman team beat Lex Cath 20 - 3. Boyle dominated from the opening kick off. Almost returned for a TD. One play later Big Lamar scores. Chris Cook had a great game with several carries and at least one TD. Nice catch and run by Ricky Carter for about 60 yards that set up one TD. Lots of things to look forward to with this team. GO REBELS!!

Lexington Catholic at Boyle County Predictions
RebelC3PO replied to bluegrassfootball's topic in KY Football (High School)
Does anyone know who will start at Q/B with Perry out? Smith got the nod last week, but Mason had been seeing back up duties before last week. Anyway, kids who get a start like this will usually come out hot and play a great first half on pure adrenaline. If whomever gets the start can get a couple of completions under their belt, along with a good sustained drive or two, Boyle might get some confidence and roll. Going out on a limb... Best QB Ever at your School

Brandon was good, but I give the edge to Duggins. -
Out of town Monday. See you Tuesday.

One pop, two pops, three pops...more?

Perry's (Boyle QB) mom was told he may have a fractured collarbone.

Admiral, you would be a great poker player. You know Danville almost always finds a way to win, but you always take the "poor poor small Danville" route. After tonight, how many pops do I owe you?

Is this Chris Pardue's last year at Boyle County?
RebelC3PO replied to NO HOLLA's topic in KY Football (High School)
Are you of the opinion that coaches do not help bring out talent? In other words, shaping the diamond from the rough? Could Jacob Tammi or the Leffew boys have gone D1 had they had a different coach or been on losing teams? Not that I am disagreeing with your statement, just wondering what you and others think. -
Boyle County vs. Lafayette
RebelC3PO replied to lexingtonFbfan1's topic in KY Football (High School)
Probably due to the poor condition of the field last year. I can't remember exactly how many we had to move for that reason. -

Come on No Holla!! I think the paper dust is getting to you. As with all coaches it takes time to get your system and personnel just as you want. It all does not fall into place right off the bat. How many years did Chuck Smith "struggle" before finding the right combinations? Give Coach P time...we'll be back.... -
No problem. I enjoy providing info on all teams at all levels. You are correct in you statements. Lamar is a beast and all around great kid. Two other freshman are worth watching. Chris Cook and Brian Ferrell. All three of these kids get playing time in the Varsity games, mainly on kick off team. Guaranteed one of these three will be in on the tackle.

Double OT. Boyle 34 Trinity 26 Lamar Dawson of Boyle rushed for +150 yds. Trinity QB looked good too. Great game.

Let's see...Jeff Duggins, 3 state championship rings and he was deleted? How many football games did the Rebels lose during his reign? ZERO!! He was deleted? BTW, Dennis Johnson was the Parade High School Football Player of the Year. What other player in KY has achieved that honor? For high school play only, has to be between Duggins, Couch, and D.Johnson.

Correction. Purple Pride's conversation.

Chester Ford...good one. Forgot about him. He was pretty tough. It will be interesting to hear what comes from Purple Haze' work conversation about him.
-
Jeremy Britt. Transfered in from the Bowling Green area.

Donnie Redd??

Boyle Co. Vs. Danville Predictions
RebelC3PO replied to ADopted ADmiral's topic in KY Football (High School)
If we all know Danville has outside speed, then I am sure the Boyle Coaching staff knows this and will make that the focus of this weeks practice. Now, Coach Harp will have to counter. Nothing short of a dump truck will get up the middle of Boyle's defensive line, so does it make sense for the Ads to work on a passing game? How has this been so far this year for Danville? -
Boyle Co. Vs. Danville Predictions
RebelC3PO replied to ADopted ADmiral's topic in KY Football (High School)
Good to have Coach P back calling the offensive plays. He is great at that. If we can contain the usual Danville speedsters, it will be a long night for the Ads. If not, expect a high scoring affair. Still, Boyle will prevail. To go one step further, this will be the first in a string of wins!! -
I don't think how well a team does against Boyle Co. will be a good measuring stick. Still to many unknowns for the Rebles.
