    4. DeSales

    5. Corbin

    6. NCC

    7. Green Co

    8. Holy Cross

Strenght of Schedule as of 10/4. F.C. 4.2, Murry -9.6, DeSales 22, Corbin 4.4, NCC 18.4, Green Co 4.9, Holy Cross 14.8. Will DeSales, NCC, an Holy Cross be better at playoff time by playing better teams now??

  2. In this one I would take SK. They are too big up front and Simpson will be too much for the Ryle defense. I also think that the Ryle offense will be shut down. Their run game is nice but SK will bring pressure in that 3-5 Defense and shut down anything in the Ryle playbook. At the end of the day the better team will win and after seeing them both play I'll take SK by 4 scores. 48-21. Two of the Ryle scores coming with the second team.

Hey I know, why dosn't S.K. just play their J.V. to give poor Ryle a chance. :D

  3. There has been numerous grumblings this year about how weak Boyles schedule is. Imagine the scrutiny if they were in 3A! Our non district schedule would have to include Florida, and Auburn just so people wouldnt gripe about Boyle not playing a tough schedule.

I don't know about Florida, but a 2.5 strength of schedule. Highland is playing Ryle twice a year becouse no one else will play them. Give them a call.

  4. Agreed that the possibility of injury is increased, but Chad Lawrence is a gamer, and when you have an "athlete" like Lawrence, he needs to be on the field as much as possible to give your team the best chance to win the ball game. Sounds like you are looking forward to this game as much as I am. Should be a great one.......who wants it more?? Let's get it on.

I'm also looking forword to the kettle corn.

So if I understand what your saying you think S.K. is 6 T.D.s better than Ryle? And from what I've seen, if S.K. was up 48-21 their first team would still be in.

  6. Just the facts for the last 5 games. Hempel 49 of 69 thats 69% 10 T.D.s - 0 ints 1043 yards passing. I have seen both play this year. Both good players and great leaders. I'm not so sure its such a good idea to have your starting Q.B. playing D and kick return. And I think any one who was at the Ryle vs Boone playoff game two years ago would agree. Ryle lost their starting Q.B. on a kick off.

  7. I was about to tell you to watch it on tape, then you commented on how Ryle's coaches have likely watched it. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.:ohbrother:

I'm guessing you were at the game? I was. Then I'm guessing you saw H.C. getting 5 to 10 yards on just about every run to their left. S.K. never stopped H.C. They stop themselves. Don't get me wrong, IMO S.K. should win. But to think Ryle can't run on S.K. now thats funny. By the way Ryles Q.B. has over 1200 yards passing this year.

  8. The GCL and or Cincy has not been kind to Highlands in the last 10 years. If anything I rather see Highlands in 6A over in KY.

This sounds good to me. I think NKY 6A is one of the best in the state. Throw in some games against Henry Clay, Fern Creek, and some of the other top 6A schools in Ky. Then we have X and T in the playoffs every year. I would like to see that. Maybe Highlands and Cooper could trade places?

  9. Giving up 31 points is getting ate alive? SK lost that game with self inflicted turnovers. Oh BTW please stack the box.

They gave up 42 to Henry Clay. Both teams are much better than last year. I still think kicking could play a big part. Ryles kicker is 35 for 36 on extra points. And has not missed a F.G. this year. Lets see if Ryle coaching staff has learned from their mistakes. Two years ago when S.K. beat Ryle, Ryle went for it 4 times on 4th down inside the S.K. 20 and got stopped every time. :irked: Kick it coach!! :thumb:

  10. Owen Mace Warner was born at 5:15 a.m. on 10-3-09. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 ounces. His length was 20 and 1/2 inches. Amanda told Coach Warner at the end of halftime she thinks her water broke and she would text him for sure. It was confirmed and he exited the stadium immediately to leave with her to go to the hospital (Christ Hospital so they were close). Owen was named after Coach Warner's father-in-law who did some great fundraising and provided his farm for their annual Father-Son Senior Leadership Camp. He unfortunately passed away in May with Cancer. The Doctors believe Owen muttered at delivery "Beat SK" but did say usually newborns do not talk. However it is for sure that Owen cannot wait to witness the big matchup on Fox Sports and he will be wearing orange and black!

    Thanks for the update. :dancingpa

  11. Does what HC's running game did some how make Ryle's running game just as good?

Henry Clay had NO passing game that night. S.K. had 9 up in the box. If they put 9 up in the box against Ryle Himple will throw for over 200 yards. I'm sure the Ryle coaches have watched the tape of the H.C. game. It was very clear to see that night where S.K. weekness is on D. But that being said. Turnovers will be the key. Without a dought 2 of the 3 best teams in NKY this year. Get their early and don't for get to try the kettle corn! :thumb:

  12. Why would anyone be shocked?? Maybe Conner deserves a little more respect from all of the football experts around NKY. A few adjustments here and there and they could very easily run the table. Maybe the SK loss was a good thing and woke everyone up in Hebron? Sometimes a loss early can be the best motivational tool any coach could use.

I think most are shocked they shut down Boone's running game. The ways S.K. ran wild. And I agree, sometimes a loss early wakes people up.
