  1. Here are a few numbers for Miles Simpson. Please keep in mind the first month of the season he was playing hurt. Last 3 games 14 T.D.s 704 rushing yards on 64 att. If you get the chance go and watch him play. All of these young men are list are Great. I just hope some of they will stay home and help take Kentucky schools at the next level.

  2. If both teams bring their A game, this could be one of the best games of the year. If one of them don't, this could get ugly. I can't wait to see how the young men from Ryle come out after last week. Can Ryle stop the Conner passing game? And can Conner stop the Ryle running? This could end up 60 to 50.

  3. A script even hollywood wouldn't believe is unfolding in Louisa Ky. Our Lawrence County Bulldogs are writing a storybook fantasy about a team that went 0-11 in 2008 and after opening with 7 straight victories in 2009 is now 3 games away from taking a team that was WINLESS last season to UNDEFEATED this regular season. I capitalize that because it just can't be overstated. At a time when our country and for that matter the entire world is recovering from an economic freefall that many believe will take years to recover from, a high school football team is showing it's fans and community that just because you hit rock bottom doesn't mean you have to stay there. Losing a football game can't be compared to losing a job or a home, but every week that they lost a game they had an opportunity to lose something more important, hope and confidence. This team and these coaches didn't lose hope or confidence. What they did lose was any sense that victory can be acheived through anything other than hard work and dedication. I still see the lost jobs and recovering economy in the Appalachia area just like everywhere else in the world, but what I don't see here is anyone hanging their head and feeling sorry for theirself. I see a community of people that are working hard every day to rebuild their lives because we have been given a life lesson by a group of high school kids and we are proud to follow their lead.

Great story, thanks for telling us about it. :dancingpa

  4. Key play (IMO) in this one was Ryle fumbling Bone punt in 1st quarter deep in their own territory. It seemed to give Boone an emotional lift that carried with them almost the entire game, especially since Boone scored on the short field and then made a 2-pt conversion. It took Ryle the entire game to turn the tables. Boone played a very physical game and performed well and took it to the very end. Ryle scored just before the half to tie it up 8 - 8.

Boone's biggest mistake may have been going for a 4th and 10 near midfield with about 2-minutes to play (which failed) and gave Ryle a shortened field to position themselves for a Mead 28 yard FG with very little time left on the clock.

Thanks hockentucky. Maybe you should do play by play. I couldn't make to this one. Sounds like I missed a good one. I still can't beleave the score. :thumb:

  5. No we don't......but we do recognize what we have seen, which is playing the hardest schedule in the state....I think it'll pay off nicely for us.

Oh come on guys. everyone who knows anything about football knows that in the end it will be X vs T. Now that it is down to apple vs oranges you two will win out. Let us have a little fun with that fact that when it was a level playing field T got SMOKED!! :dancingpa I know, I know that another thread. :notworthy:
