  1. I agree, the most balanced JC team I have seen in a lot of years and this is what it takes down the road. The recieving will take the pressure of Grim as well.
  2. Dials had a big night defensively and had several recptions. Does anyone know how many yards recieving he had? It had to be close to 100.
  3. Log Mountian Boy I am a JC fan and I was there and I agree with you 100%. Bell has an awesome kicker and an outstanding QB. If #33 is a freshman he is going to be a great back! Bell impressed me with thier speed. If this group is this young they will be hard to handle for many years. I think JC needs to fill some lineman postions that were lost due to graduation. The reverse half back pass is a sign of the times. Most teams know of Shawn Grimm now and he will have a big target on him. JC will need to be able to mix it up some. I thought Dials and Welch provided us some targets on the pass. This scrimmage was as intense and hard hittting as any I have seen in a while. Both defences I thought were very good. Even with holes to fill, look for both of these teams to be in the hunt late in the year.
  4. I was at the scrimmage and thought we watched two great programs with two great coaches perform. The long trip to Log Mountian is dreaded by all teams and I thought JC handled the heat and ride well. I was told by a Bell fan that this was Bell's fifth scrimmage and JC has not had a scimmage and this showed up. Central has numbers and size and Bell has alot of speed. The format was awful and it was hard to evaluate. JC's Dials was on his way to scoring on a touch down pass when the refs blew the play dead. The Bell kicker is awesome and has the ability to win a close game. Niether team could mount a running game on each other although I thought JC was better at running. Both teams has some success passing and the Bell QB is very soild and Bell might have had an edge in passing. I feel both teams have areas to address due to graduation, but with Hilton and Matney as coaches these teams will be ready to go by the start of the season. The mountians can be proud to have two class coaches and programs to root for.
  5. Any news on the outcome of the game yet?
