Just so you know, that whole Saint Male, Saint Manual thing is an Anti-Catholic monicker that has been used on lots of schools to accuse them of cheating, recruiting, and getting undue money from the system. They used it on Ballard, Male and Fern Creek back when I played. Basically every time you use that term you are saying that Catholics are cheats and that school is cheating. As I told someone else, that maynot be how you meant it but that is what it means!! Everytime you use it you are basically promoting the idea that Catholics play dirty, cheat, pay players and recruit, because that has been what calling a team St. Male or St. Ballard (basketball) has meant for years in the public schools.

You know alot is made of all the Catholic kids we have at Manual. But that is ignoring the fact of where Manual is located and the historic connection of Manual to the Catholic community. Manual is real close to Germantown and alot of kids that couldn't afford to go to St. X went to Manual. There has always been alot of Catholics at Manual. When I played we joked that there were more Catholics on the Offense line for Manual then there were at St.X. RRR and Ram2003 played for St.Margret Mary's Mustangs but there was never any question that they were going to Manual instead of St.X where our Grandfather played or Trinity where our cousins played. Same with one of the players playing now, he used to come to games as a kid and cheer his cousin on, both were products of Catholic schools both were great football players but both were going to go to Manual not St. X. There are tons of connections between these two schools, infact I would say the only school to have more family connections to either school is Male and Manual. There is no reason that kids that are Catholic can't take part in the CSAA sports and then go on to a public school program, mostly because there is no room on the Catholic High schools Rosters for playing time if we all went to them. And there is nothing wrong if a kid decides to switch from public to private. What burns people is when a Catholic kid goes to Manual or someother public school because he can't get aid to go to a Catholic school and then there is some non-catholic kids that were in public schools the year before getting enough aid to attend. That is where alot of this stuff comes from. I am not saying that it is unfair but it rubs some people the wrong way.

The Rams game has gotten much better offensively then the beginning of the year. I think that might surprise the Tigers.

Did you guys hear that the Manual Crimsons and Saint Xavier Tigers are playing a football game this Friday? Two of the oldest football teams in the state from only a few miles apart playing in the most historic Stadium in the city in the playoff. Let's talk about this game!! Are the Tigers playing at their peak? Or have the Crimsons improved enough to make a dent in the Tiger Defense?

Back to the game I think that the Crimsons need to play at the top of there game. No mental mistakes. But I think the Tigers are beatable. Make no mistake it is always harder to win the second time around for both sides, I think it could be a very good game!!

This is what both sides agreed to, can you imagine what it would be like to host the Ballard Trinity game at Trinity and tell Trinity fans that they have to sit on the other side of the stadium while Ballard gets their stands, lockerroom and your guys are getting ready in the gym? The Tigers DID win the District out right and it is their home game, but they chose to play it on our homefield. It is and was their choice. I am surprised they did it but that was the option they chose. Manual isn't being childish at all.

The word is that they are playing at Manual just like they would under normal conditions if St. X is the home team playing Manual in the regular season. Basically Manual is on the home side and in the Home lockerroom and St.X is incharge of the tickets parking and security and stuff. That was their choice so I am fine with it.
