Ncc will struggle alot in the beginning of the year i believe with this being a very down year for them at the skill positions, they will have alot of trouble putting points on the board... The defense will be very good... A kind of tough schedule at the beginning but they will pull it together at the end...

Ill give you the fact that he has done a very good job since he has got there... But moving through the bottom of the region is totally different than competing with the big dogs of the region... Since he has got there they have not really played the top teams in the region, i know last year they did not play Boone, NDA, or NCC and only played HHS in the regionals... We will see how well he has his team prepared to play this year with what i believe will be a much tougher schedule... I would have to put him behind Fookes with over 500 wins, Darpel, Walz, and McDonald!!!

Yes he has done a very good job at Ludlow but how can you possibly say that they are the favorite... way to much firepower with HHS, NDA, NCC, Conner, and Boone(even with a loss)... I do not even believe that you can say that they will be the favorite in the all A... With that said i remember watching ludlow play bellevue last year and they were massively undersized do they have anybody in the middle this year

Do not even think about getting rid of Marvin... He has dont a great job last year there was jus to much going on around the team beginning with Palmers health to all of the off field incidents... This team was so bad before he got here they could not win 4 games...

Will Ludlow play any big competition outside of the NKY... Such as the teams from lexington or louisville??? Or any teams that will be from across the river

This is to bad they do a much better job covering local news which leads to great high school coverage than the enquirer does

Danville, B-town, Newcath NCC will be down alot in the beginnig of the year they play a tough beginning schedule.. Many people will go away from them but this team will be alot like last year and will come on strong at the end... Danville looked very good last year and should have won the title!!! However i am not really sure what they lost

I know that Allen had a Shoulder injury that she had to overcome, so idk how much she has really played this summer... But they have a solid all around team and are well coached... Great to see them back and competing with the best

Agreed and last year shows what they are all about they played a very tough schedule to open the season and they were really not any good at all, but mid season they pulled it together and went on a huge run... Even after being down by 17 in the title game with 7 min remaining to win it... They always have a chance with the coaching staff they have... May not have to most talent in the state of 2A teams but they will be right there in the end to try to win 3 in a row However I will miss having the beechwood game really meaning something toward the playoffs.. Will still be a good game but it will not be the same... I hope beechwood eventually moves up to become 2A and have that game like a title game

Boone, Highlands, NCC, NDA

I sure hope that you are right, but i do not see it happening the teams out of Lexington are just way to strong every year

I would have to take HHS as my favorite in the region, followed by Boone and NCC will be right there like they are every year even that no one gives them a chance... They have 2 exceptional players in sandfoss and cundiff... However i think that HHS has to much fire power lead by Allen for any one else to deal with... They can put up alot of points on the board against any team... It is nice to see that HHS girls basketball team is back to being very competitive again after being absents for a couple of years

Rebecca is a fantastic player and I expect that she will have a great run at UNC

Wow this is crazy... But sounds like this is showing a very strong team effort... So for now is there no team down there?

I agree that Ryles road to the championship was very hard on Allen and congrats to Greenwood... But Allen will be back next year and should Ryle right back here to compete for another state title

This is something that is very sad on parents parts and really needs to be stopped... but im afraid that it never will

I think that you should seed these players have played there hearts out and the teams that play well during the regular season deserve to get a easier first round than the teams that did not play as well. the goal is always to have the best regional final possible and normally with seeding you have a very good final game.

Holmes will be very good next year they are just way more physical than everyone else in NKY and that leads them to many wins over quality teams. And having there top 2 scores back dont hurt to much either.

Yes the first couple of innings no one could really touch her.. But by the 4th inning she was wearing down and NCC started to get base runners. BTW Holmes outfielders did not play very well and played very shallow. There were a couple balls that went over them. Courtney did not really pitch that well but she got alot of key strikeouts right when she needed them, she really was able to grind it out

Yes i was at the game, NCC played a heck of a game and you could tell that Holmes pitcher got really tired toward the end and the runs came in

Cundiff from NCC Sandfoss(NCC), Allen(highlands) will only be sophmores but are very good point gaurds

I do not think that this will happen anytime soon. louisville is just to strong and has the bigger schools

I believe that girls high school needs to stay just where they are at no matter what college does. These girls do not shoot it that well from outside consistently even the shooters we consider good shooters. If these girls are good enough to move on and play at the college level they will be able to learn that extra foot in no time, but for all of those girls that are not moving on you want to see the best basketball possible. When you are doing something that will make that shooting percentage go down it is not good basketball...
