I watched Ballard at Clay Co a couple weeks ago. They go about 10 deep with very little or no dropoff. This should be a close one.

If I am not mistaken, and I hope I am, cybersports.com only does Scott Co home games. I think this game is a toss-up.

A school cannot choose its officials but can choose the officials association for their home games. Most all choose the association that covers their particular region. By the way, the Bluegrass association cover more than the 11th region. I know they cover the 10th region and maybe others.

High school basketball in Florida does not compare to high school basketball in Kentucky. The fundamentals and coaching in KY is light years ahead of Florida.

I think the officials in the 8th region have their own officials association. I know when Scott Co was in the 8th region there were several years that Scott Co choose to use the Bluegrass Officials Association instead of the 8th region association for their home games. This was due to their frustration with 8th region officials. I always thought this hurt Scott County in the 8th regional tournaments. There were years it seemed the 8th region officials took a "take that" attitude towards Scott Co in the tournament.

I never did like 8th region officials. I think they have a tendancy to call the game way too tight, much like the 9th region. Its hard to get in the flow of the game. Overall, I think the Bluegrass Officials Association officials are better than the 8th region officials.

I watched Ballard play a scrimmage game a couple weeks ago. Ballard is very very deep and is very athletic. I would not predict an easy win for any team on Ballard's home court.
