  1. Tuck was on the team for both of EKU's national championships and both national runnerups. Tuck never got any significant playing time until his senior year, when he went 14-0 and was the QB for the national champions.
  2. It would be great for Kentucky High School basketball if both LexCath and SC played well. Both programs have a history of playing well against the best in the country.
  3. Ballard and Scott County both played 10-16 players EVERY game throughout the year. Both teams looked at their depth as an advantage. When you play the pressing, fast breaking, high intensity game both of these coaches play it is an advantage to play lots and lots of kids to wear the other team down.
  4. Both Lexington Catholic and Scott County will play USA Today Top 25 teams Saturday night at Marshall County. Lexington Catholic plays USA Today #17 Chicago Simeon. Simeon has 3 D1 signees. Simeon also has Josh Anderson the son of former NBA player Nick Anderson. Scott County plays USA Today #19 Chicago Whitney Young. Whitney Young is lead by Marcus Jordon, son of Michael Jordon. Whitney Young also has at least 3 D1 players.
  5. I would disagree with you on that one Hounds.
  6. Look at the two teams in last years state finals. Ballard played 12 kids regularly. Scott Co went about 10 deep. These two teams seemed to do OK. Would they have been better if they played only 7 or 8. I remember before the finals, the coaching staff at SC was most worried about Ballard's ability to keep fresh players in the game.
  7. I disagree. The more kids that play the better.
  8. This is true. I noticed USA Today ranked teams in the City of Palms tournament and 4 USA Today ranked teams in the Beach Ball Classic. In addition Scott Co will play 3 other nationally ranked teams outside of these tournaments. Someone said that Ballard and SC may both be "down" this year. It depends. Neither are as good as last year but both are still state powers.
  9. The game was won at the 3 point line. Ballard outscored SC 30-3 from 3. SC had 23 more rebounds than Ballard.
  10. The 11th is better, no question. Renner even says so.
  11. I expected a close game. Ballard is very good and very deep. They are better than most people think. Scott County has a strange schedule. They opened at home against Gallatin Co and then play 13 consecutive games on the road. Their next home game is 1/5/08.
  12. The cybercast.com stalled at 0:14. Ballard outscored Scott County 30-3 from the 3 point line. Scott County outrebounded Ballard 53-30. There were 46 personal fouls called in this game. Scott County's 30 game winning streak against Kentucky teams, spanning more than 20 months, has come to an end.
  13. 70-66 Ballard 2:18 to go. Guyn has 7 turnovers. 40 fouls called in this game.
  14. Phares makes a 3 and then steals the ball for SC.
  15. Ballard up by 6. The Bruins have outscored SC 27-3 from 3 pt line.
  16. Hundley picks up his 4th. SC in deep foul trouble.
  17. Jordan Lee fouls out on an offensive foul at 4:07 in the 4th quarter.
  18. Hard to believe SC has 20 more rebounds but only leads by 3.
  19. 56-53 SC at the end of 3. Givens has 5 boards off the bench.
