  1. I've been watching her tributes the one that stood out for me was the 1990 Wellesley College speech. Here are the lines of the speech that told me what a down to earth, insightful and remarkable individual she was. The third choice that must not be missed is to cherish your human connections, your relationships with family and friends. For several years you've had impressed upon you the importance to your career of dedication and hard work, and of course that's true. But as important as your obligations as a doctor, a lawyer, a business leader will be, you are a human being first and those human connections with spouses, with children, with friends are the most important investment you will ever make. At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a child, a friend or a parent.

    Mowing?

I mowed for the first time 3/31 just the front & side yard. I picked up limbs out of the backyard today(the front & side still looks good). I managed to run to Lowe's to pickup mulch for the flowers & shrubs(good deal 5 for $10 on the premium that usually goes for $3.33 a bag) picked up some Scott's Turf Builder(weed, feed & crab grass preventer) waiting until next week to apply it. It was good to be outside working in the yard today kinda blows my mind snow is in the forecast for tomorrow.:idunno:

  10. Thanks for sharing this article! I especially loved the last sentence- God's greatest gift on Easter is not that Jesus died on the cross. It's that he rose from dead, a new life, a new start -- and that same power is available to us.

  14. Good Morning May your day be filled with good thoughts, kind people, and happy moments. ~ Good Morning Quotes ~ As I was hanging the birdfeeder out this morning our neighbors were pulling out of their driveway. I smiled and waved. They, in turn, rolled down their window and called, "Good Morning!" I had a warm and happy feeling just hearing the simple words, "Good Morning." Our Bible verse says, "Kind words are like honey-- sweet to the taste and good for your health." Proverbs 16:24 GNT How true this verse is. A simple "Good Morning" was like honey. The words were sweet and I felt good just hearing them. May your day be filled with good thoughts, kind people, and happy moments!
  15. One stranger comes to my mind - I had finished a long depressing day at work, it was raining and I was headed to an evening class. I was having myself a royal pity party when I pushed the elevator button in the parking garage. As I stood waiting for the elevator a guy in a motorized chair pulled up beside me. He smiled & said, 'Isn't it a beautiful day to be alive'. I never saw him again but I've never forgotten him especially when I'm having a bad day. So many things I take for granted walking was one of them.
