The Neeley kid is special and plays with alot of heart. Double up on him and he gets the assist. Play him straight up and he scores.

Two good teams that fight hard to the end. Gallatin did not protect the ball well in the second half and Neeley just went off on them. After watching this game I might have to agree with an earlier post that has Gallatin a double digit winner if Owen doesn't have Neeley.

Neeley finished with 27 for Owen. The kid is unstopable. Edmondson and Perkins led the cats.

Gallatin did not take very good care of the ball late in the game and Owen couldn't miss a shot.

I made it to this one. Lots of excitement on both side. Gallatin builds a big lead then Owen catches up and takes a lead of their own with just seconds to play. Gallatin claws back to put it into OT.

Not only was Carlton out the first meeting, Edmondson was not playing yet. Two young men who have several starts under thier belts. When Giles, Maddox,T. Jones, Davis and the young Jones boy get 2-3 min. per quarter the pressure defence the cats use is nerve racking. Also their best offence has been feeding off the defence.

IMO, Gallatin's depth is the difference betweeen these two teams. Owen has a very nice team but can't hold up to the depth of Gallatin when Coach Jones runs his players in and out as he did Dec. 23. Owen can beat Gallatin when Gallatin doesn't use their bench ie Dec 12.

If Walton can make it a halfcourt game they should win by 12.

I've not seen either team, but I did get to see Beaumont play this summer and with what he brings to the game it would be hard to bet against Male.

In the present era the Mefford boys for Owen and Carroll we both good coaches and good for their respective schools. Hard to beat either one of them twice in a row.

Just going by what was said in this thread. I thought it would be a close game as I indicated. But Gallatin which is a pretty good shooting team shoots 10% behind the 3 point line and still pulls out the win, says something. I agree Henry has a nice team and they don't get the respect they deserve.

I'm sure Shelby's inside game will be enough to get the " V " but this could be an interesting game at Anderson. I'm sure SK fans will be checking it out.

Will Anderson have enough to expose Shelby's less than last years guard play? :fight:

Not only should the districts be seeded the higher seeded team should host the game. Gathering in one gym is fun but giving a lower see the home court makes no more sense than not seeding.

He might have seen how to stop Walton but they just don't have the game Owen has. Walton by 7

4-10 with no relief in sight Just not playing good team ball. Too many turnovers.

Gallatin usually has a bucket full of assist, I assume (with the off shooting) that wasn't the case last night.

Sounds like Henry was lucky to even be in the game. Faced a good shooting team on a cold night.

It would be interesting to see how all the teams that played out of state over the holidays did in their first game back. Walton struggled as did Gallatin.

Don't think I would be that drastic. I can see a few more double digit wins on their schedule. They have a nice team but so does Henry. Nice win coach Jones and team

Wish I could be there. I think Gallatin will win but double digits!!

Looking at KHSAA scores for the last few games I would agree that Gallatin would be the favorite, but Henry also stopped their last winning streak.
