Just because they lose a game in the tourneys this week doesnt mean it wont be a good game. Just maybe Scott or Mason will have a off night. Everyone has a off night. So I can see why everyone is talking about it, regardless of the outcomes of the tourneys they are the number 1 and number 2 team in the state right now. Didn't say they woudln't make it to Rupp come March. I am just saying once they get to rupp they fold and fall apart and wind up losing to some county school. Happens every year except for when Jeffersontown won.

Looks like alot of these Louisville teams are just as good as Scott County & Mason County, Now those teams do play rough & tough schedules.. Yes, I agree but the Louisville teams always fold or go down early in sweet sixteen. THey are usually so big headed in themselves not being able to be beat then the big upset. These guys like to look pretty on the court and not play team ball.. :scared:

So now Maysville is the capitol of KY basketball?? Different level than NKY hoops?? Mason's got a great team, but has played a very weak schedule to date, so the jury's still kinda out?? When they play somebody other than St. Pats & Bourbon, maybe we'll find out how good they are?? They'd doubtfully go undefeated up here in NKY if they'd play the better schools night in-night out!! NKY hoops cant compete with the Mason, GRC, Scott Co, Lou schools. Mason schedule has nothing to do with the rankings quite naturally officials believe they are number 2 or they wouldnt be in the spot. Maybe your Campbell or Brossart team will have that shinning moment sometimes in the next 50 years. As they say if you cant beat us, join us. I'd be happy to reserve you a regular seat at the feldhaus and purchase you a mason co prep shirt. Better then that, I would purchase your tickets at Sweet Sixteen in our cheering section. I thought sure you would have let this go by now. Your schools dont have the tradition of basketball and winning as Mason co. They may beat Mason 1 out of 10 times but to be on that level. SORRY

This year has been THE WORST for Maysville sports coverage. Practically full-page articles if you're from 40 miles away in Ohio, limited if any coverage of Maysville teams. I'd say the sports staff must all be from Adams and Brown Counties, but JF grew up a couple of doors down from me here in Maysville. Lots of my friends are getting pretty upset about the lack of coverage for Mason County boys and girls basketball. The coverage here is terrible. I have posted comment after comment on the comment line in the newspaper and they omit them. I cant believe they are allowing this to happen

Lets not put to much into it Green. I said Mason co would be tested by GRC in region 10. Do not put words in my mouth and I even said in the Scott Co vs Mason Co game that Scott would win. Yes I did say the northern ky region teams would be no contest and I still believe that sorry. Don't put the top teams that can play some real ball in the same category as Northern Ky Basketball. Ashland Area Sports Coverage There are three area holiday tournaments with teams playing , and there wasn't one story or box score. They did attempt to write an article about the upcoming A.I.T. but they messed up with teams not in the tourney appearing in the bracket, but we did get 2 full pages of letters to Santa. Local schools spend a lot of time,effort,and money to put on a good tournament and depend on the media to get information about their tournaments out there to help boost attendence. As much as I love my Royals, I have to go with Scott Co on this one but do not expect a blowout. Scott Co was loaded last year to in region finals when Madison Central stopped their show:banana:

I don't believe that his opinions are those of the entire MC fanbase, and I think he just gives MC a bad rep. by saying that, because MC players are anything but arrogant. How can my opinions be of the entire MC Fanbase? Do you even realize the fanbase here in Maysville. I can only speak for myself. Just because I am arrogant doesn't meant the players are.:laugh: so I have no clue how the players even got mentioned here.

I dont have to see Brossart. I know Brossart is 3rd in the region. Brossart gave us a game once and thats when they beat us in region finals the rest have been easily won by the royals. Brossart isnt on the level as Mason Co sorry. Every year people talk of Brossart supposed to be this and that but do nothing when the region tourney comes around. I would say Brossart will win their district but thats as far as it goes. :thumb:

Good points!! I guess the only reason they even bother holding the region is so the schools can make a few bucks selling popcorn?? Congrats in advance to the Royals on this year's region title--best of luck at state, but then they probably won't be challenged there either!! Congrats on your state title!! Im back went to columbus for some last minute shopping. THanks for the nice compliment but if you have read the post u would know that I said there is one school that can challange us and thats Clark CO. Brossart no contest at home for the Region. I kinda look forward to the Region moving to Mt sterling next year so when the royals take the region crown again in Mt Sterling all this home court advantage talk will stop. :jump:
