Johnson Central is going to have some very big shoes to fill. Blake Johnson, Micheal Tackett, Tommy Taylor, James Barrett and the majority of their offensive and defensive line. JC returns alot more than they loose. And the underclass men got alot of playing time in almost every game this season.

LaRue County and Woodford County will have something to say about the state title.

Today started the state wrestling tournament. Wrestling action will be all day friday and saturday with the state finals being on saturday night. It is being held in Frankfort at the Frankfort Convention center. I know there has to be some bluegrassprepers out there that will be at the state tournament. If you have any comments on matches or results please post them.

This years state tournament will have alot of new faces on that medal stand.

Yesterday was the regional wrestling tournaments all across the state. If you have any results from any region, please post them.

I knew Graybeard would have some good pictures. Ashland has some good wrestlers. I think they will have 4 or 5 at state this year.

Anybody have an idea about how region 7 will turn out?

Being a Johnson Countian, this is news to me. If I hear anything, I will post it.

Johnson Central had there annual "regional tune-up" meet today. Even though there was only 6 teams that showed up, it was a good day of wrestling. Johnson Central, Ashland, Danville, Perry County Central, Montgomery County, McCreary Central were the teams. Ashland placed 3rd, Montgomery County placed second and Johnson Central won the meet. I'm sure graybeard will be posting some pictures from the meet. :thumb:

I know Graybeard and I arent the only wrestling fans on bluegrasspreps.com Lets here some discussion on this topic. After tomorrow... we only have regionals then state.

Starns knows basketball, nobody will argue that. I think the problem is the way Starns runs the team. It's like he is back in the NBA with Patino.

LaRue County won the state duals last year, and got 3rd at the state tournament. Can this be the year they bring home the state championship? If my memory is correct, LaRue County was leading in points during the first 2 days of last year at the state tourney, then on the last day Woodford County and South Oldham passed them up. We will have to wait and see. Last years state tournament point totals 1st - Woodford County - 230.00 2nd - South Oldham - 166.00 3rd - LaRue County - 143.00

1 - LaRue County 2 - Paul Dunbar 3 - North Hardin 4 - Seneca 5 - Trinity ( Louisville) 6 - Woodford County 7 - South Oldham 8 - Ryle I am pretty sure that is the top 8 teams. This is 2 years straight that LaRue County has won the state duals. I believe North Oldham placed 9th.
