Carroll was cold from the outside and played their usual tough defense. Hannah Devine hit a three at the end of regulation. Bad shooting night for Carroll ( other than Devine)

WV has a lot of size on Carroll and Walton is much improved defensively over last year.

It was a good game to watch..these teams seemed very evenly matched.

At first they thought is was an ACL but it was not that severe and she was expected to get to return to the line-up. It sounds like she is back already!

Gatorfan..what is the status of Jones and Willhoit?

Too close to call. If Jones was playing I would lean toward GC. With her out and Wilhoit not at 100% I am not sure which way to go.

I think it will be a tight game with a 3-4 point margin of victory.

Gotta go with Carroll.. Tight games last year and both teams lost 2 starting seniors. Carroll by 4.

Looks really interesting. This week should tell us a lot.

If you think Anderson is the favorite (or one of) this year, It's hard to see South Oldham or anybody leaping them in the coming years. Anderson is starting two 8th graders, 1 soph, 1 junior, 1 senior and brings 7th, 8th and 9th graders off the bench. IF (and it's a big if for a reason) Anderson is one of the best teams in the 8th this year it's hard to see anybody taking that title from them for 4-5 more years.

I saw them this summer and I thought they looked really good. I guess we will see...

You never know how many girls will stick with it. So many end up not playing all the way through HS.

She will make a big difference to GC. That is how it is with small rural schools. Every player is needed usually the bench is much younger.! Good Luck to Emily...

I like South Oldham also.. but I think the favorite is Anderson and Simon Kenton. I think that probably next year South will dominate.

Actually I think my favorite may be Walton Verona...they play Carroll Co. on Monday and that will be an interesting game. I of course think that Carroll will win, but it will be nice to see what WV has put together, they have a lot of size on their team.

Carroll for the first time has a lot of experience on the team and have been playing together a long time..the same can be said of Owen Co. It is going to be a fun and interesting time this year in the 8th.

Can you elaborate? I haven't heard about this.

On Monday Nov. 30 they lost former teammate Ashley Ford in a car a accident. She was #44 and graduated in 2007.

Not really the same caliber opponent as MagicFan is referring to... Conner, Lafayette, and CAL are all expected to be contenders...Lafayette returns all five starters from a 20-win team, CAL is ranked third in the state and has the leading Ms. Basketball candidate, and Conner is a solid team in the powerful 9th region. Shelby is definitely rebuilding this year...

 

Still, a big win for Carroll, because I think most expected the Lady Panthers to struggle a bit early in the year, and this is a team that's had their number for some time.

Shelby beat South Oldham tonight.. Good win for "rebuilding" Shelby.

Good tough game at TC tonight. Raiders worked hard.

I was at the game and I did see them ( GC ) leave before the game was over..so I am not sure they were there when the TC boys went to the locker room.

If they were yelling during the game I do not know. However, they were not sitting in a place that the TC boys would really be able to hear them.

I think that many of the GC, TC and CC kids are friends and really enjoy the rivalry with each other.

Trimble County has a really nice team and played together really hard. No matter who they play this year it is going to be a tough one expecially at home where they have a great crowd of cheering kids!
