I think West was the leading scorer but I have no details...sorry madman...Maybe someone from W-town will post.

44 free throws for W-town
34 For Carroll
Hannah Devine did not play due to virus.
Carroll had 4 girls in double figures led by Kyndal Curry with 19 pts and 12 rebounds, Sarah Osborne with 15 and Tasha Hunter with 14. Martin with double figures and Marissa Brindley had 7 steals.
It was a long game!

When was the last time WV won the NCKC?
I am not sure where they keep this info..I do know that Carroll County has won it the last 2 years. Other than that I have no idea.
This looks to be WV's year to win it though.
-
Congrats to WV and good luck in the final game!
-
The conference play is actually pretty challenging, WV has not won it for a while so I am sure they would like to accomplish that before they decide to not to participate.
-
Very sloppy game by Carroll. Pulled out the win though.
Congrats to the Panthers!
Trimble player Macy Mitchell was on crutches tonight. All of us in Carrollton wish her the best.
-
Good win for WV and I hope Sandlin gets better before next week!
-
I believe WV will get this one. It will be close though.
-
Pulling for CC in this one. It will be a tough road game and WV has a lot of weapons!
-
I think Gayheart is a very good player but the constant complaining on fouls is a little bit of a turn off. It takes away from the good things that she does.
She plays hard and with that comes some fouls. There are many good players on the Owen team and she is one of them.
-
Wainscott's speed really was unmatched by anyone else on the court..even with a bad ankle. She also plays very good defense which in my opinion is a part of the game that is often overlooked by those of us talking about top players.
-
Congrats to WV! Good luck at state, make the 8th proud.
-
Good game for WV. They pulled the ball out and slowed it down at the end. A last second 3 point shot made it only a 10 point victory for WV.
Good luck to WV in the finals....!
Very impressed with Neeley from Owen, also thought Wainscott had a great game.
Form Walton.. Dixon and Sandlin played very well also!
-
Good game to watch. Very evenly matched teams.
Good luck to GC in the finals!
-
Owen going to have to play much better than they did against Trimble to pull this one out.
WV has a lot of weapons.
I think WV by 8.
-
Good game last night. Tied at half time. Carroll just seemed to run out of steam. Fouls were very uneven...but Carroll could not get their shots to fall in the second half and they had some foul trouble.
Good won WV and good luck the rest of the way!
-
Trimble Co was without Callis (who has left the team) and played very well. Owen seemed a little off and Gayheart fouled out the 3rd quarter.
Impressed with Trimble, Owen is going to have to make some marked improvement to get by WV tonight.

Girls do roll a lot more in volleyball and in Basketball and the long shorts would come up the leg. I think some of them are fine, some are too short..just like the cheerleading uniforms. The coach just needs to make sure they fit properly and they do not pull them up as they play.
-
The ones in the pic are a little short. I think the med length is fine. As a side note the wrestling outfits are ugly too..but it seems to be part of the game.
-
If you look at the KHSAA combined statistic leaders. Dixon and Devine are mentioned several times. There are several other 8th region players mentioned also. Very good statistical information.
-
Are we defining underclassmen as Fresh/Soph? If so Devine would be near the top. Then the post player from Anderson..(Brown) I think she is a sophomore also. Wells from Shelby is good also. Gayheart and Neeley from Owen are neck and neck also.
If you are talking Juniors then it opens up a whole new group. Like Dixon, Wilhoite etc. I can think of about 10 Juniors that should be on this list.

I say if the roads are clear enough have open gym..and the games.
Sometimes schools are closed before there is a drop on the ground..I remember one time it never did snow and school was cancelled.
All Snow days are made up..you can not change the tournaments. Also extra-curricular is purely voluntary. If I were in a big city I might agree with Old Guy..it would give them a big advantage over the rural schools.
-
Great job Lady Panthers. Great team effort. Very good defense.
-
I would say Simon then Anderson..from there it is a toss up.
Walton would have to be third although any of them could make a run. Some players are getting back to 100% and that could change the whole 8th.
It is a fun year!

Congrats to WV on the win.
Too bad many fans were turned away at the door due to how full the gym was.
