Congrats to Walton Verona on the win. Sounds like NO came out tough though.
-
Congrats to Owen Co. I hope Emily Jones is back I am sure it has seemed like a year to her.
-
Congrats to CC ..Finally seem to be hitting on all cylinders.! Good team effort!
-
I think Walton wins big in this one.
-
Owen shot 11-41 from the field?
Yes ..they made 2-3's and 9-2's and 8 free throws.
-
I would say
A.
D.
Carroll played Man to Man and so did Owen.
Owen shot 15 free throws.. Carroll Shot 6 .
Owen shot 41 made 11 and Carroll shot 29 and made 12.

Close game in the last quarter. CC had every opportunity to pull ahead but just could not get the shots to fall. Good free throw shooting by Owen was the key.
-
Congrats to Owen Co. Good game last night in Owenton.
CC has to have more people look to score or they will not get over the hump. Too unselfish sometimes.

Wasn't she at full strength the first meeting?
Yes ..but unfortunately as a team we did not play well at all. I believe we shot somewhere like 25%.. Hope for a better game this time!
Hannah has been hurt since the last day of school ( Dec. 18 ) but now seems to be able to move at full speed again. I hope your player gets to 100% also. These small schools have a hard time when they have people out!
-
With Devine back at full strength I would say this will be a close one. As usual I take the Panthers! Unless they have a little Daytona fatigue!
I think this will be a good game and I hope there are no injuries!

South Oldham by 10.

She has been playing on a stiff swollen knee since Dec, 18. At NAS She played the 1st game..started the second game and then could not run up the floor very well and came out and then did not play in the last game against Oldham.
Quite an adjustment for the Lady Panthers but really made a good game with Oldham after they adjusted to someone else running the point.

Down here with the Carroll County Panthers. Seems that Hannah Devine may be back from her knee injury to participate in this tourney.
Very nice accommodations..we play a team call Woodstock tomorrow.
It will be nice to have a team at full speed again.!
Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

She played against Carroll..and Gallatin.
However..2 of their best players did not.

Amen, Col. Mike regarding the December performances of teams. Ironing out the kinks, testing the waters, experimental lineup combinations, etc. - that is really what December games are all about. January certainly will begin the period of time when the competitive waters become less mirky and less muddy. By the time February rolls around, a somewhat more clear pecking order in the 8th will no doubt be unveiled. Still, my prediction is that NO clear-cut and prohibitive favorite will exist in the 8th region this season. The region tourney will, I predict this early, have some Cinderella plot lines that have yet to be written. Just wait and see ... and you heard it here first!
... HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, BLUEGRASSPREPSTERS - ONE AND ALL!!!
I agree..it is hard to judge there are so many injuries etc. It will be very interesting after the first of the year!
Merry Christmas.!

congrats to the wildcats!

Actually she hurt it Friday at school. There is no major damage just lots of swelling and pain.It gets very tight on her after halftime making very hard to play
Yeah she showed a lot of courage playing after hurting her knee. She is a huge piece both offensively and defensively.
Hope she gets better in time for the tournaments over the break.

The total number of schools listed is 125 (if my math is correct). So by Cornerstone joining I would assume they knock somebody out. Will they add someone to take their place if they are not playing?
I do not think so they pulled out of the V-Ball and Henry did not get to come back in. Tough break for Henry I like it when get to participate both in Girls and Boys.
-
Good win for GC... Congrats.
Carroll needs to get healthy and get aggressive on defense.
-
Are you telling me that Henry declined the bid for Class A.
I think because Cornerstone accepted it knocked Henry out..
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
-
Congrats to Henry County on the win!
-
Also Congrats to Gallatin! Both teams played hard and the refs kept the hand checks and pushes down to minumum on both sides.
Overall a good game of basketball to watch.
-
Congrats to Henry on a big win. Just imagine how much fun these girls are having this year. They are winning big games and playing for a coach that demands hard work and FUN.
Exactly! They are a nice group of girls and have played together a long time and deserve some wins this year! Gilley is always entertaining to watch Coach.!
