Congrats to WV on Senior night. Carroll led the whole game but a few unlucky turnovers and WV pulled it out.

Coach Mefford at Carroll County does this also. I think it is a great thing.

We have the fans at the games! Still a good social event in our town and for the Title iX haters the girls and boys games both draw big crowds.

However, what keeps a lot of kids at home ( mine sometimes too) is the amount of homework. 3-4 hours of home work a night will prompt many kids to make a decision on sitting up late and going to the game or just skipping the game.

It is very expensive to follow the teams.

Buttels - I had heard this on the way back from the All A. Everyone in Carroll Co. sends prayers.

Actually, I can imagine the game being at Eminence. In 2007, when Owen and Gallatin both had great teams, the tournament was held there. It was an electric atmosphere though.

Electric in that you could not move or see the game in some situations and that you had to pay for each game and had to clear the gym after the first game.

I bet some fire codes were broken at WV. I also feel bad because I know of several people who were turned away. I am not sure what they should do in a case like this. I know that it was only the final game that they had this issue with. Maybe that should be moved to a bigger gym in the future...although not fair to the schools with smaller gyms.

I hope WV represents the 8th well at state!
