That is probably correct, but I don't know of any coach that would not say to a supt. if they wanted to play, lets wait closer to time and see what it looks like.

What size and class is Preston Knowles? Also is Scott Humphrey GRC's coach? He coached Simon Kenton for a few years and had heard that he went there.

I know who the middle school Smith kid is and you will know him real soon,,, He will start Varsity as a Sophmore or maybe even a Freshman...He is a very fine player

School Bus Service on Saturdays? What bus lines serve Bracken County, Williamstown and Cynthiana other than maybe Greyhound?? I just think it's weak to cancel on a school at the last minute, after all the work they've put into organizing a nice event, just because a couple inches of snow fall; especially when the host school sits on a major throughfare and is accessible by roadways you know will be cleared!! :confused:

 

On second thought it might have been that same freak snowstorm that hit Covington last year, that didn't allow Holmes to make it to Alexandria, when everyone else in town was able to travel and play their games!!

Hate to say it but the info TEX put out is correct. Bracken, Williamtown, and Harrison bailed out on the Desert classic. I think it is pretty sorry way to treat a school that has put a program together. St. Pat drove in from Maysville on all of the same road Bracken would travel except for about 3 miles. Sure makes you wonder why they couldn't make it. Same with Harrison, we had people go through Cynthiana to get to State Wrestling. Makes you wonder. Sounds like some people got cold feet.

I'm am 99.9% sure this game isn't being televised. No one picked it up. ESPN was going to but too much college basketball to compete with.

I thought someone local would pick it up. I think it would do well. Especially since it was sold out,why not pick it up.

A CCH basketball parent told me at the Scott County game the other night, that the CCH team, after playing in the opening game against Ryle, MUST PURCHASE a ticket if they want to stay and watch the final two games.

That's greed for ya. there is no way those kids should have to pay to watch after playing! :mad:

He is off the team from what I hear. Walked off the court against Holmes. Not a very smart idea with 4 games left in your senior season.

Why are todays players so uncoachable?

All that time spent in the gym, working, learning,bonding with your team down the drain! Also, like you said with 4 games left in your senior year! It's really sad.

I know the KHSAA implented a sportsmanship deal last season, they can toss you out if you start badgering but as long as it's clean there should be no problem.

Things like this have changed so much.
