  1. I for one wish they hadn't left the 9th.

I am really glad you guys are in the 8th now, things are alot more interesting on here with SK fans. Good luck next year and I really hope we get to meet next season.

Don't know where you come from, but be carefull what you wish for. You could become even more spitefull! By the way, they don't sell programs in the 8th? You got to be kidding!:sssh:

  2. So throwing various types of beverage containers onto the floor, during the winning teams celebration, is considered "losing" with class in Kenton County?

What's wrong, got bored at the barber's? No, the 2 players who went directly in front of our adult sections and removed there shirts shouting barbs

at our fans, that was just plain tacky! As far as the beverage container, that's not cool. That should never happen. Oh yeah, the girl down in front of SC's student section flipping off the SK side, says it all. No comment needed! I'm proud to be an SK alum and I thought our boys played hard and with dignity. The future looks bright in the 8th for our Pioneers.

  3.

That is until tonight... Haven't missed an eighth region title game in 20 yrs., not going tonight gonna go watch the local barber cut some hair. That will be more interesting than watching SC destroy sk.

 Even if that happens, you should consult a physican. The rest of the world is not mad at you !:sssh:

  4. That was beautiful. I believe that Hester will have a big game tonight, he lives for these kind of situations. But it will take much more than one player to beat a team of this caliber. How big is Slaughter? Will Shambach be most likely to match up with him, as he is our best defender?

Slaughter is about 6'1" or 6'2" , I think, as you say"Phila, thrilla" is the key to the game. We need the senior to play his best to have a chance. :D

  5. That thyey did!! I know that Highlands just went to Shelbyville and lost to Shelby 66-65. I also know that SK beat Highlands last season, they didn't play this year due to regional realignment. The bottom line is this, SK isn't favored tommorrow if Shelby wins, they were supposed to right?? Sk only won 9 games last season. Highlands was one of their 9 wins. Sk was predominantly sophomores last season. Two years ago in the Eagle Bank Classic SK beat Pendleton County as Predominantly freshmen.

SK won against Lexington Bryan Station in this years AIT. what does all of this mean?? I think in a one game and you are gone SK is still there and Shelby will have to beat them. I will be there with probably six others rooting on those Pioneers! Let it all go tommorrow and lets see what happens!!:fight: :walk: :ylsuper:

:thumb: :thumb: :fight: I'm ready to leave right now! How bad do they

want it! They just need to leave it all out on the floor. GO PIONEERS!

  6. Good Luck SK.... you will need an unbelievable effort tonight.... stop Slaughter and you win... tough task but it is possible.

Watching Shelby play last night, they have a lot more than Slaughter. He is sensational though. I think SK's chances hinge on one of the seniors, who probably will be guarding Slaughter.

  7. History is not on the Pioneers' side. Since 1974 (that would be the last 31 regionals) Oldham Co., Scott Co., and Shelby Co./Shelbyville have won 28 times. The exceptions being Grant Co.(1979), Anderson Co.(1997), and Bullitt East(2005).

Take it easy Knife! I seen Shelby Co. play. You don't have to scare me anymore!:scared:

  8. Its just funny listening to all the Pioneer fans on the unknown of the big tobacco barn in Henry Co. Now you know what it feels like in other parts of the state its alot different at Henry co.. The good thing is when you win a region you get more time to blow yours horns longer on your way home.

Thats one heck of a trip for SK. I can remember when I hated that trip before they widened the road to Henry Co from Shelby. Great job by the new kids on the block. There was no doubt that SK deserves to be there and now they can be there every year and have a chance to compete for 8th region title. Its different than the 9th because of the parity. Since you and Shelby have the largest two schools and the only two 4A teams in the region. The 8th region teams hates the big school. The small schools stick together when it comes to giving out the awards. You will notice the snubbing by everyone over there if you keep winning and the Pioneers will. I think that Shelby will win because they have the better team. They are beatable and the Pioneers would have to really rebound well to pull the upset. Shelby 66 SK 57

Great post! I had a great experience in the tobacco barn!

  9. They still must beat Oldham. They are playing on a neutral floor this time and I think SK prevails to meet Shelby.

But you are right, worst case scenerio we could be watching Oldham versus North Oldham in the finals.

:argue: It must be March!! I look for two great games tonight. North Oldham has played a very rough schedule, you never know what can happen in one game!

  10. Just to clarify some of your facts are a little off. First the defensive line. In the beginning it was Chris Weir and Justin Smith at d ends and Zack Kiernan and Chaz Siemer in the middle. During the year Ziggy Niedzielski stepped up and split time with Chris Weir at d end. When Kiernan went out late in the year Bob Schneider started d tackle. Noah Litmer didn't play defense so he's not considered a returning starter although he could see more playing time there this year.

Projected D line has Ziggy, Kiernan, and Bob and a spot for several candidates to fight for, namely Dorger, Giesler, Ciani, Wedding, Keating, and several others.

Now the O Line. The year started out as Zack Kiernan and Noah Litmer at tackles, Justin Smith and Chris Weir at guard, and Bob Schneider at center. Clinton Ciani and Ziggy Niedzielski were the back ups. As the year progressed Ziggy won a starting job before the Ludlow game and Noah and Ciani were the backups. Late in the year Ciani found more playing time with Kiernan injured starting in the Ludlow, Bellevue (regular season), Somerset, and Mayfield games. However Eric Wedding and John Keating (some up and coming juniors) will be fighting for playing time as well on both of the lines.

With nothing set in stone and the season still a ways off here is a projected o line. Kiernan (6'6" 245) Ziggy (5'11" 205) Schneider (5'10" 208) Litmer (6'4" 210) Ciani (6'2" 235). This certainly is subject to change before the season, but a side note here is that every one of them is a senior on the projected o line. The same senior line that went undefeated freshman year blocking for Michael Vicars.

I think Michael Vicars will get the ball more next year and put up serious numbers. He is very fast and runs with desire. Will definatly be interesting!
