How come the games are going to be played so close to Ryle, and yet to far away from Somerset? Is it just the luck of the draw or what decides where it will be played?

Jumpers were down early 6-0 but battled back with a grand slam from senior Scott Moody and ended up rallying to come back and win...Price got the win for the Jumpers on the mound..congrats to the Jumpers on winning the region and good luck in sectionals!:dancingpa

This looks pretty good to me as well, except I think with cooper on the mound for boyle they will beat Rock but it will be a very interesting game..

Very True.. If you would have told me Somerset would score 7 runs in this one and have 3 homeruns I would have guarenteed a victory.. But the pitching really hurt them in this one...

Even though the other night against Rock was not the best display of pitching for Somerset this season, its been the pitching that has always kept them in the games this year.. Wallen, Price, Spears, and Fitzpatrick, with Molen coming off the injury is still working off the rust.. My opinion would be that Somerset has the second best pitching staff in the region this year behind Mercer.. But I have also seen them play a great deal of more games than any other team as well so it may be a little biased...

This was one heck of a game, with a lot of offense tonight, not sure about danville but somerset managed 15 hits on the night, including a 3 run homerun by Scott Moody.. It was 9-5 going into the 7th and Witten hit a 2-run Homerun but the the Jumpers were able to hold on to the lead..

I would hope so.. And fairly high in the ranking as well..

They did lose the chance to go to class a state...if they had won that would have been their second win and they would have went on.. It wasn't a make up game, it was a best of 3 series with Somerset winning the first, losing the second on that call, and losing the third also.

This was a prime example of a Pitchers dule.. Somerset had 2 hits and LCA had 1.. Neither team made an error, but somerset was able manufacture a run in the bottom of the 6th.. Wallen also had the lone RBI in the game..

There field isnt the best in the 12th region, but they're not a bad team at all.. They played #18 Somerset at Somerset last week, and they were only down 4-1 after 5.. I think the final was 8-1 after a big 2 out ralley in the 6th by SHS..

2 outs in the bottom half of an inning in softball...Game is tied 2-2... Girl hits a three run home run to put them up 5-2....she takes her helmet off before she steps on home plate...after the hitting team plays in the field comes back in and the ump decided to take the runs back off...the team ends up losing the game and not qualifying for state...shouldnt atleast the 2 runs before her count....any one have any other thought?

Yes.. And the game before that, Somerset should have beat Dunbar, they were up 6-3 in the 6th..

Jumpers starting to get everyone back and completely healthy!! Could def be a team to watch out for as they moved into the top 25 in this weeks poll.. :ylsuper:
