I left with about a minute to go and I am not 100% sure on the exact final score but Pulaski did win by 21 points according to the Radio. It was a 9 point game with 2 minutes to go and PC pulled away at the end.

I think is the right score. Congratulations to Pulaski Co. on their 3 peat.

I feel for the seniors also. As an opponent I am glad we dont have to play against them anymore, but as a fan of highschool basketball I am going to miss watching them play. Swiger was so clutch during that game, he hit big shot after big shot. It was a shame someone had to lose because both teams played with alot of heart and guts. I know how the Raiders feel, I was on the football coaching staff at SW when we got beat by Bullitt East in the first round of the playoffs. If we could have gotten by that game I think we could have won the State that year. Time will heal the sting and one day they can look back at all they accomplished and will be able to hold their head up high. God bless them

Southwesterns Trevor Jones is the best defender in the region and his offense is getting better by the day. He might not beat the others one on one but noone does more for their team than Trevor does for ours.

Wayne is talented and very well coached. But McCreary was talented and very well coached. The warriors will be focused and it should be a great game with a great atmosphere.

You hit the nail on the head. Coach Jones has the RESPECT of everyone on Southwesterns staff. We Know he can coach with the best. This game wasn't about X's and O's but about Jimmys and Joes. The difference in this game was SW shot a higher percentage than McCreary.

I am glad to hear that he is OK. I like his game. Maybe there is something to the saying that its hard to beat a team 3 times in a season.

First of I want to give God the Glory he smiled on Southwestern tonight. The 2nd thing I want to say is thanks to all the fans that believed in us and showed up to support us tonight. The 3rd thing I want to say is I have the utmost RESPECT for Coach Jones, his staff and his team. His teams are always well coached and they always play hard and physical. I don't buy it that SW wanted it more. The Radiers had all the expectations and pressure in the World on their shoulders and SW had nothing to lose and was able to play relaxed. The Phillips kid was a beast, Watts made some unbelievable plays, and Swiggert hit some key clutch shots. And Musgrove hustled his tail off all night as always. Trevor Jones did carry SW at times but TT Wooldridge hit some clutch shots at key moments in this game. I think the difference in this game was 8th Grader Cody Epperson hit 3 big 3's in the 2nd quarter to give SW a halftime lead. But Coach Jones put Musgrove on Cody in the 2nd half and he shut him down. The other difference in the game was Taylor Fothergill hit two big threes in the 2nd half. He was 3 for 20 comming into tonights game. I give Taylor credit for having the courage to take and hit those big shots. Like I said it was in the cards for SW to win tonight and I give God the Glory.

Good Job Pulaski Co. and Coach Flynn Did Whitis play tonight? Should be a barn burner in the rubber match with Somerset Friday night.

They cancelled last nights game because there was SUPPOSED to be 2 to 4 inches of snow fall yesterday evening. That would have made for Hazardous travel from the game. In the Name of Safety it was postponed to tonight. The main roads are clear and we are not supposed to get 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight. Therefore the games are on. I think McCreary will do an excellent job of hosting the District. However as punishment for calling off last nights game they should be required to play tonights boys game in Southwesterns gym.:ylsuper:

Wayne and SW split this year, so its obvious anyone could beat the other on a given night. It should be an interesting regional tournament.

The Girls practiced after us today, and I can guarentee you that it was not Coach Rices idea to cancel tonights game.He wanted to play but the decision to cancel was made by someone higher up on the pay scale. Also Everyone was practicing so there are no injuries or illness to speak of. Coach Rice is Not going to leave SW for PC. He has to much talent returning. I do not know anything for sure , this is my opinion only, but when I read that Coach Hurt was retiring in todays newspaper I wondered if Coach Darry Burkett would apply. I had the privalege of working with Coach Burkett at SW and he Knows the game.He also has a daughter that will be playing at PC in the near future. I think it would be a win win situation if PC hired him.

He went into a shooting slump at the All A and a few games afterword, but it seems he has his stroke back. He is a great shooter and when hes on Somerset is a regional contender. He is also a class act off the floor.
